Pura Geger Beach, located in Nusa Dua, Bali, is a hidden gem known for its tranquil atmosphere, soft golden sand, and stunning turquoise waters. Unlike the more commercialized beaches in Bali, Pura Geger offers a peaceful escape, making it an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation away from the crowds.
One of the highlights of this beach is its calm and shallow waters, which make it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The gentle waves create a safe environment, even for less experienced swimmers. Additionally, the beach provides a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean, with a backdrop of towering cliffs and lush greenery. The nearby Pura Geger Temple, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, adds a touch of cultural significance to the area.
Unlike some other beaches in Bali, Pura Geger is relatively undeveloped, which enhances its natural beauty. However, there are a few beachside cafes and local vendors offering fresh coconuts and light snacks. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent, making it easy to spend an entire day soaking up the sun and enjoying the serene surroundings.
One of the best times to visit Pura Geger Beach is in the morning when the tide is low, revealing more of the sandy shoreline. Sunset views are also stunning, although the beach faces east, so the sun sets behind the cliffs.
Overall, Pura Geger Beach is a perfect spot for travelers looking to experience Bali’s pristine coastline without the overwhelming crowds. Whether you're a beach lover, a photographer, or someone who enjoys a peaceful retreat, this beach is definitely...
Read moreIf you are in Nusa dua, i really recommend this beach to you! It's like a whole different world there. I went there by gojek and we're passing many dogs around on the way. In the afternoon, when i wanna go back to the hotel, im surprised by some large cows crossing the road out of nowhere and many monkeys kiss u goodbye (just kidding). I feel like still not many people know this place cause i feel like it's a private beach with just some foreign tourists chilling or some locals swimming. The water is bright blue and it's so beautiful. This by far is my fav beach in nusa dua and i def gonna comeback! Cause it's perfect, it has bright blue water, white sand, large rocks and caves, along with some coral reefs. It's perfect if you wanna solo travel and just chilling or swimming but it's also perfect for family trip especially if you are with kids cause they will def love to swim and playing with the fishes in the coral reefs. Things that i wanna complain is that the toilet were locked the time i went there and it's kinda hard to get signal. But overall, the scenery and view are beautiful! Also, it cost 15k for...
Read morePura Geger Beach offers an entry ticket at just 5k per person and a 2k fee for motorcycle parking. The beach is not too crowded, providing a more relaxed and peaceful atmosphere.
During high tide, the waves can be quite large, making it less ideal for swimming but perfect for those who enjoy watching the powerful surf. At low tide, the waters become much calmer, allowing for a pleasant swim. The beach is also a beautiful spot for taking pictures, with stunning scenery and picturesque views that capture the essence of Bali’s coastal charm.
However, there are a few downsides. There are no food stalls, so visitors should bring their own snacks and drinks. The beach can be a little bit dirty, with trash scattered in various places. Additionally, there is only one restroom located near the parking lot, which can be inconvenient if you’re spending a long day at the beach.
Overall, despite these drawbacks, Pura Geger Beach offers an excellent mix of natural beauty and serenity, making it a...
