I had the pleasure of dining at Tapa Bistro during my recent trip to Bali, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Situated in a serene and picturesque location, this restaurant offers a relaxing ambiance that sets the perfect tone for a laid-back meal.

As I entered, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff who promptly seated me at a cozy table with a beautiful view. The restaurant's chic and modern decor with Balinese influences added to the overall charm of the place.

Tapa Bistro's menu boasts a fusion of international and local flavors, which appealed to my adventurous taste buds. The wide range of tapas on offer made it tough to choose, but the server was kind enough to recommend some of their signature dishes.

To start, I opted for the Grilled Morccan Lamb Butlet, and they were a delightful burst of flavors.

For the main course, I couldn't resist trying their Nasi Goreng, and it did not disappoint. Indonesian stif fried rice with chicken and quail egg cooked to perfection, paired with aromatic rice and a light sauce, was a mouthwatering combination that left me wanting more.

Complementing my meal was a refreshing Pash - Passion fruit mocktail, which was a brilliant mix of sweet and tangy notes.

My partner and I visited Tapa as it was located fairly close to our hotel. They offered pickup and drop off for free, this wasn’t availed by us as we were next door at the Mulia.

I’ve read people complaining about the portion sizes and prices, which leads me to believe those people have never been to a tapas eatery.

We ordered around 8 dishes between the two of us, 8 beers and a cocktail and the bill was $90 Australian. Absolute steal.

Food quality gets a solid 4/5, staff service and friendliness gets a 5/5. They were fantastic, helpful and attentive.

The venue is slowly recovering from covid and wasn’t too busy, but was still an enjoyable environment.

My only suggestion would be that they install some sort cooling apparatus as I was sweating the beers out quicker than I could ingest them. I noticed some ceiling fans but we’re either broken or just turned off.

There's a lot to love about this trendy looking Tapas bar. The food is really good, the space is amazing and the service is excellent. There were a few other diners there, but it was pretty empty for a Saturday night, not sure why. The ambience was chic and cool and there was a DJ spinning some good tunes. We had 5 dishes between the two of us aswell as the complimentary appetizers - some garlic bread and chicken satay. The stand out dishes for us were the pan fried barramundi and the beef rendang but everything we had was delicious. The cocktails were great too, and it was unfortunate that we were too full for dessert as they looked spectacular!
