We stayed here for a month and the space is great! Super modern and well updated. The staff and owners are the kindest, most helpful people. Everything was always in tip top shape- the staff is always cleaning things or fixing any problems people run into. The WIFI was super fast and reliable. In the month we were here it cut out on us a handful of times but the average downtime was maybe 3 minutes, max 10. The staff is well aware of the importance of WIFI to its guests, so they're always on top of it and care more than most other places would, I imagine. One thing I was confused on upon arriving was that "pre-paid internet" means you pay upfront per kWh and the electricity gets deducted with use. So you may have to top up over time or your room will run out of electricity- though the staff does post reminders. I think it cost us around $30-40USD in the end- that's with pretty heavy use. They helped us rent a moped too (1.2 mil IDR for the month). They do have events from time to time, but when we were here they hadn't started back up for 2019, so it was hard to meet people since we're shy and the coworking space is always insanely quiet and not conducive to meeting people, though I imagine it's be easier with the events. I'd recommend they get some games or something for the cafe or roof. Millions of restaurants nearby- in the month we barely scratched the surface. The biggest negative for me was the location, which is mostly our fault for not realizing (or underestimating), but while the street the place is on is quiet, to get anywhere you have to get through TONS of scary traffic. If that concerns you with driving your own moped, you can hire drivers for cheap, but know that at all even moderately sized tourist spots in Bali are run by taxi mafias that routinely charge 7x what GoJek charges and intimidate GoJek drivers into refusing to pick people up from those areas, so you get a cheap ride there and pay 7x the price to get back unless you walk a half a mile down the road and call a GoJek from there (nothing to do with Bali Bustle, but important to know about Bali!). So dealing with traffic on or moped or dealing taxi mafia was a headache and major stressor for me (less so for my bf). Traffic will be a headache anywhere in this city, so it's not reflected in my rating, but I guess all that info was something I wish I had known. All in all, this place was relaxing and great to come home to, run by dependable and awesome people and I'd heartily...
Read moreThis was my second stay at the Bali bustle consecutive years. It is conveniently located and has everything a digital nomad needs.
The best aspect is the co-working space, normally quiet and well spaced tables and seating with a corner to relax and the poolside to take a break. Overall perfect for someone who wants to do some dedicated work.
The rooms are well designed, a moderate size, spacious enough, and has the basic amenities for day to day comfort. They clean twice a week and keeps it refreshed.
There is a kitchenette, haven't really cooked, as I wanted to keep room odour free, but some people do.
We made some events and there are plenty of options to connect and lots of places to eat, workout, shop, enjoy around, and yet not as distracting as some other parts of the island.
Lovely people, with a variety of travellers, digital creators, traders, developers, marketers. I had the opportunity to meet people on the trajectory towards entrepreneurship and digital nomads with constructive ideas.
After they constructed the glass wall, the rooms are relatively quiet. I appreciate that the management is being receptive to the recommendations.
The cafe has very caring staff, especially Aera and Putri , Tika, Trias , Emma who go out of their way to connect and greet you with their gracious smiles. And Ladia at front office is always friendly kind and helpful. The cleaning team is careful and in almost 9 months all my things have been safe.
Yes I would recommend they clean the common dustbin more frequently sometimes when there are more people. And do not allow rats into the building. The area outside bustle is also sometimes collecting garbage, dead rat on the street, but they cannot do much about it I guess, I hope that the street was cleaner 🙏🤍🪽
In general the place is clean and the terrace with gym is wonderful to start the morning.
There are several options of nearby bustle branches to use in case you need variety. My stay was at Kuta, and the pictures are a mix from sunset and Kuta.
Enjoy yourself and have a...
Read moreFirst of all will mention that the place itself really looks nice and cozy. Facilities are well maintenanced and overall impression is nice. I've seen hundreds of places in Bali for rent and Bali Bustle looks and feels better then most of other options.
But despite all that I won't tolerate intension of staff crew to gain extra profit from foreigners.
The situation itself:
I contacted the owner of the place, asked about price for coworking space and rental payment. Got an answer: 1.5 mil/month per coworking, 5 mill/month per room.
I went to Bali Bustle to inspect the place and facilities and since I haven't seen any sign with prices decided to specify those from staff directly. And was surprized, since price increased on extra 500.000 Rp. for coworking and extra 500.000 Rp per room.
I mentioned the fact that I contacted the owner and he told me different price. The staff got confused and replyed "You can negotiate".
Dear Bali Bustle crew. Negotiation is if the owner would told me higher price in a first place and later after discussion agreed on lower price. In my case you just wanted to take advantage for extra $40 each month of my staying at your place.
Such situations are not new. They are everywhere in Bali. And it would be fine if we were talking about single time comission or if such ripping off situation was approved by the owner (after all business is business and if I don't like the price - nobody force me to pay). But what you are doing specifically - is trying to stick to my wallet and live for my cost.
I hope all those people who are staying in Bali Bustle right now or using coworking - will read that review. And if their monthly payments are also overprices - will claim their money back.
Kind reminder: coworking 1.5 mill per month room rent 5 mill per month. Prices were given by owner at the beginning...
