St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church — Attraction in Kuta

My Balinese wife and I have been going here since we got married in the Dalung church a beautiful open garden place 24 years ago. In Dalungt only mass in the local language, the masses in the local gatherings take quite long in both the houses of worship. St Francis Xavier is now a newer place then the original and very spacious and quite comforting and peaceful. You may notice the high ceilings with air conditioners and a beautiful alter with angels flying around the cross. Looking at the angels you will see they are wearing flowing sarongs with a great blue background. Was there for 3 holy days. And was impressed by the "tent" during the 3 masses. It's not a tent, it's practically a roof. A solid roof. It's so high, sturdy, and not causing extra heat.

Okay, sorry the first opening is not about the church itself. The church is actually also great. I've been to several churches in Bali, even though this is not the best looking one. But i think this is the one i feel most comfortable attending regularly.

The team taking care of traffic, assisting seats, and so on are very helpful. As if there's SOP to follow and use.

Beautiful Church in Kuta..Mass service was also very nice..The parishioners are very welcoming.The church is opposite Lippo Mall in Kuta. Couple of points to note when coming for mass here English mass in only on Sunday at 6pm..All other masses on weekdays and weekends are in Bahese Shorts (for men and women), Thongs or flip flps, sleeveless t-shirts for men and women are not permitted in. They were providing sarongs for men and women outside church in case shorts were worn and the recommend getting a shawl to cover...
