I visited Karsa Spa in Bali and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt peaceful, lush, and deeply calming — exactly what you hope for in a Balinese wellness retreat. The setting is beautiful and serene, surrounded by nature, which instantly puts you in a relaxed state before your treatment even begins.

I booked a Balinese massage followed by a spice bath, and it was truly rejuvenating. The massage was excellent — just the right balance of relaxing and therapeutic. The therapist was skilled, attentive, and very in tune with pressure and comfort level, making sure the treatment felt personalized and restorative throughout.

Afterward, the spice bath was the perfect finishing touch. Soaking in warm herbal water with aromatic spices and petals felt both luxurious and grounding — a beautiful traditional experience that left my skin soft and my body deeply relaxed. It’s one of those moments where time slows down and you can fully exhale.

The staff at Karsa Spa were kind, gentle, and welcoming, contributing to the peaceful energy of the space. Everything about the visit — from the hospitality to the ambiance to the treatments — felt intentional and rooted in Balinese wellness tradition.

Overall, Karsa Spa is a must-visit if you’re looking for an authentic, soothing, and immersive spa experience in Bali. I left feeling refreshed, balanced, and grateful for such a lovely retreat. I would definitely return on...

OK, so this place is flat out amazing. When you get there, it can be deceiving because the restaurant / café is what you see from the road, but beyond that are beautiful Lily Ponds & rice paddies in every direction. As you walk down the tranquil footpath, you start to get a sense that this place is about the art of relaxation.

They offer people with pronounced physical disabilities job opportunities, which in its own way brings a sense of inclusion, acceptance, & positive energy to the place. They start you off with naturally flavored water to ensure your hydrated for the experience; a cool wet cloth to refresh yourself, & a questionnaire that allows you to customize your experience. They take the time to get to know how to best serve you.

My masseuse comes to greet me & I am led further down a footpath to an enclosed—but alfresco private room, where everything is clean & aesthetically pleasing. A bath next to the massage table & a shower nearby along with the impeccable landscaping beauty still stand out in my mind enticing me to come back.

I got the deep tissue 90-minute massage which was done by a man, & he was very sensitive & attentive to my needs & wishes. I never felt he was too rough or too soft. It was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you to all the staff who made this experience so rejuvenating. Even the groundskeepers for the vibes! I’ll be back for another before my time in...

I went in for the 90min heart massage (combination of reiki and Balinese massage), and after the horror stories and disappointments I've read, I'm glad I went here for my 1st massage in Bali.

The facilities were beautiful, the atmosphere serene (multiple lotus ponds, fountains, etc), and my masseur Tono was skillful and accomodating. I'm Goldilocks when it comes to massage strength,: it has to be firm and strong where you need it, but lighter in more sensitive areas. Tono found pretty much all my painful pressure points and concentrated on the areas I had originally mentioned on the sheet (something not all masseurs do, for some reason). I didn't expect it to be a "fall-asleep-on-the-table" massage and it wasn't, but I came to get some stubborn stress-induced knots smoothed out. Tono was skillful and professional all throughout, occasionally checking to see if the pressure was alright.

The post-session outdoor shower was lovely and convenient (towel, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided.)

My only gripe: this felt more like 90% massage and 10% reiki, with no effect felt.

In the end I felt like I paid for a good Balinese massage by a trained therapist in a beautiful setting with CLEAN facilities. I'd go elsewhere for the reiki part.

Tip: head to the Karsa cafe next door pre massage to unwind and take...
