No no no! And again NO. Only because it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily doesn’t mean it’s beautiful, right. The beach is long but really slim. Sandy but stony at the same time. On the weekend it’s way too crowded. Do not go then. The sun beds are super expensive, 30-40€ For 2, especially compared to other beaches. Sometimes you don’t even have a restroom . So for what are we paying then? And you are forced to listed to really loud bad pop music everywhere. We’ve been to other beaches like Mondello or san Vito lo capo. They are so much better. Of course they are crowded as well but they are much more comfortable. And the panorama is better as well. Also you have proper restrooms and showers , a fence if you pay for sun beds (they are then on a private area) so no seller might bother you every 5 minutes and you get the sun beds for just 20€ For 2. Visit the beautiful little city Cefalu but do yourself a favour and do not go to beach there. You will...
Read moreThis enchanting destination offers both picturesque coastal scenery and majestic mountains, rich with historical significance. While certain areas of the coastline feature rocky patches in the water, there are also stretches of sandy beach if you continue walking along. The charming "city" is adorned with stunning architectural marvels, including a colossal duomo dating back to around 11o00. The culinary delights are a treat to the taste buds, with delicious flavors to savor. The locals exude a sense of relaxation and happiness, contributing to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Whether you choose to travel by train or to drive there, there is plenty of public parking just up the street from the beach. Without a doubt, this is where we'll choose to stay when we visit...
Read moreVisited today and half the beach was closed, which happened to be majority of the public parts. This meant everyone was squished into 1/2 the size. Felt like swimming in people rather than ocean. Beach super cramped couldn’t spread out a towel and people constantly walking over you. No real explanation as to why 1/2 was shut. 1 guy told us “water pipe” and a sign said not enough life guards? Unclear. Also paid parking €5 for 2 hours, €9 for 5 hours and increases from there. Beach was sand, occasion rubbish and many cigarettes butts. Clear water and shallow with minimal waves. Good for kids if you can put up with a bit dirty on the beach.
