One word sums this place up: ‘Disappointing’. There was a reason this place was quiet during the usual midday rush! It took just under an hour to receive a simple order of pasta and a ‘Sicilian Street appetiser’ - who knew chips and fried potato scallops (may have been chick pea but couldn’t taste for the oil) were Sicilian delicacies??? Completely tasteless compared to most other meals we enjoyed in Italy. We had to chase after our order just to receive it. We provided feedback about the tardy service and ridiculous fried Sicilian appetiser to which the waiter agreed- it wasn’t true Sicilian street food. What looked like the owner or manager just stood around not concerned or helping his team. We’ve worked in tourism and hospitality for many years and if this had happened in our restaurant we would have wanted to know straight away to address it - there was a total lack of care. This place was recommended by friends an unfortunately it was an average experience at best. Great location however the disappointing part was the service. Staff seemed annoyed at the fact that we showed up for dinner early at 6.30 pm as the chef had not arrived. We were quite happy to wait and have a drink and wait. My wife ordered a drink and after she received hers I decided to order the same drink as it looked good. The female staff member that took my drink order seemed annoyed that she had to prepare another one.

I had the sardine pasta, their specialty, which was fresh and light however it seemed somewhat dry for my liking.

My wife’s Pasta a la norma was disappointing as the eggplant wasn’t roasted enough so it lacked any richness and flavour.
