Giardini Indro Montanelli is Milan's oldest and most beloved public garden, offering a peaceful escape from the city's hustle. This park is more than just a green space; it's a historical gem with beautiful paths, ancient trees, and stunning flowerbeds. Here, you'll find the Planetarium and the Natural History Museum, making it a great spot for both culture and science lovers. It's also incredibly family-friendly, with playgrounds, pony rides, and a charming miniature train that kids adore. The park is decorated with statues of influential figures, including the famous journalist Indro Montanelli, giving it a thoughtful, historical feel. Whether you want a quiet place to relax, a beautiful backdrop for a picnic, or a fun day out with the family, Giardini Indro Montanelli is the perfect urban oasis where history and nature meet. It's a simple, beautiful reminder of the joys of slowing down.

This is Milan’s oldest public park. Originally designed between 1782 and 1786 under the orders of Habsburg Viceroy Ferdinand of Breisgau, the park was laid out in the French formal garden style by Giuseppe Piermarini. In 1862, Giuseppe Balzaretto expanded and redesigned the park in the English landscape style, adding artificial ponds and winding walking paths. A historic 17th-century palace, Palazzo Dugnani, also stands at the edge of the park, adding architectural depth to its surroundings. Between 1888 and 1893, the Natural History Museum was built within the park, followed by the Planetarium in 1930. In 2002, the park was renamed in honor of journalist and historian Indro Montanelli.
