I visited the area before 11 and althought many sunbed were free, I was told they are booked out and this is only for the guest. And when I asked what do you mean by guest? Like the guest of the bar or resturant? He said no, only the guest of the hotel! while keeping an arrogant attitude the whole conversation! (And I could see obly an small building, that suppose to be the hotel! It's impossible to fill all those sunbeda with only THEIR HOTEL'S GUEST). I found another place and the whole 5 hours that I was there most of the sunbeds were free !!! It SHOULD be mentioned in their website if the area is ONLY FOR GUEST OF THE HOTEL!
I think sunbed companies have monopolied the beach. There are in total 4 very small public beach that due to Covid need to be book ahead via the city website, and it should be done at least 40 hours before visiting. Just keep it in mind even if you go there early there is not much possibility to access the sandy beach. However, if you are there and want to swim badly (I needed to swim after 2 hours hike in summer) there is a rocky part within 50 meters distance from the parking area. You can put your stuff there and go swiming. Near the rocks and up to a good distance an average height person can...
Read moreSpent two days in a row here, late July. Pros: staff were very very friendly! Did not have to pre book beds and our group of 5 was accommodated both days in a row when arriving at opening hour 9am. drink buckets for 20€ were delicious! Frozen margaritas, pina coladas, mojitos, Aperol spritz, Palomas… all good! Large food menu, I can personally recommend the pesto pizza!
Cons: not enough space between beds so feels a bit crowded. The umbrellas here didn’t have hooks at the top which was a nice touch at a different place so you don’t have to put your bags in the sand. There was only one plastic walkway to the water and the sand gets fireball hot so if your bed is all the way out to the side you’ll be walking across hot sand all day long so bring your sandals. The water here got wayyyy dirty with trash and ocean debris throughout the day compared to the other beach club I went to. Not that this is the fault of the beach club but just be aware you will see kids bandaids floating around at some point.
One bed and two umbrellas is 40€, a drink bucket is 20€, food averages...
Read moreThe online booking for this place is deceiving, the map showed I booked second row and when I got there I was in 4th row. The staff do the bare minimum they just walk you over and quickly run away. There were more rows on the beach than on the online map and the staff member didnt care to put me in the row I actually booked for! The beach chairs are way too close for comfort I was a few inches away from others so there is absolutely no personal space. There is no service on this beach at all and food is frozen so not as great as many other Italian beach clubs I've been too. The beach is nice and waters are so clear but it does get rocky a few feet out so bring water shoes. The waters are calm so it makes swimming very enjoyable though it does get very busy in the summer. Overall it is a lovely area but I would recommend choosing...
