We had a similar experience to Ed. We were going to get two pizzas for take out, and were hoping to order a few drinks while we were waiting for the pizza. They sat us, we asked to order drinks and then we asked if we could get a few pizzas for take out. The waiter took our order and left. A moment later we were greeted rudely by another waiter telling us we couldn’t sit down to wait for our pizza. We understood & went to the bar to order the pizzas. The same man was still very rude and impatient as if we had done something wrong. Seemed as if he thought we were trying to avoid their service charge. We asked if there was a bar or somewhere else we could sit and drink a beer while waiting, where he rudely repeated the same answer that “the tables are for eating customers”. Crazy part is, we would have gladly paid a service fee to sit down for a couple drinks while waiting for a couple take out pizzas. Unfortunately for us and for the restaurant, that hospitality was never given to us. We decided not to eat there and went down the street to a different restaurant. Honestly worst restaurant experience we’ve had in our...
Read moreShould have listened to the recommendation to go to Miky's. But....we walked to Barabba and thought the view was pretty so decided to try it out. I would avoid this place unless ur just going for a cocktail and the view. The view truly is fabulous!! We sat out back and loved the water ambiance. The rest of the restaurant, however, is really weird. It's like you're walking through their work area or a work in progress. The cashier up front is in a plexiglass type cage but his side window is completely open. The staff seems like they might not know they actually work here and their lack of attentiveness or presence is representative of it. Bread is brought out and the brown bread was quite nice. The rest was stale. The swordfish was edible, but not very good. It is a large piece so if ur looking for quantity, it's a lot. The Mediterranean salad has no lettuce, which I suspected, but don't b surprised. On a positive, we were able to find some fresh veggies here so appreciated that. Would we return? Definitely not. Also wouldn't recommend to others. Don't let the pretty views...
Read moreExcellent service, great prices. Clean and hygienic. Look at the picture on the menu, then try to spot the owner. Its hilarious, very good way to brand yourself.
Cocktails way too strong for myself and my girlfriend. I much prefer a nice cocktail as opposed to a very strong one.
Dinner is served from 7pm. Pizza is very good. Didn't have any seafood but from the look if the other customers, it looked amazing.
You need the toilet, its round the back and you need to ask for the key. Its a black one for the boys and a blue one for the girls. If you're somewhere in between, pick which ever you relate to more.
Wine is excellent, as in most places in the Cinque Terre. Most wines are DOC or DOCG, and even a €3.70 bottle from the supermarket won't give you a hangover. They take wine seriously over here.
I ca recommend eating here, it was a dry relaxing experience with great views and...
