Pizzeria Frida in Palermo is a pizza lover's paradise. With an extensive menu offering a variety of mouthwatering pizzas, this cozy establishment has captured my heart. The staff members are warm and friendly. Now, let's talk about their Quattro Formaggi pizza. Words cannot do justice to the incredible taste explosion that occurs with every bite. The blend of four cheeses, perfectly melted and oozy, creates a symphony of flavors that is simply divine. From the creamy mozzarella to the sharpness of gorgonzola, each cheese adds its unique touch, making it a truly unforgettable pizza experience. Aside from the Quattro Formaggi, Pizzeria Frida offers an impressive range of delicious pizza options to cater to every palate. From classic Margherita to creative combinations of toppings, there is something for everyone. The attention to detail in the preparation of the pizzas is evident. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully chewy on the inside, providing the ideal base for the toppings to shine. The quality of ingredients is top-notch, resulting in a burst of freshness and flavor in every bite. In conclusion, Pizzeria Frida is a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts in Palermo. With their delectable and diverse pizza offerings, along with the warm and welcoming staff, this pizzeria is a slice of heaven. Don't miss the opportunity to savor their exceptional Quattro Formaggi pizza and explore the range of delightful flavors that will leave you craving for more.

I visited this place because it came up in my recommendations. I ordered a Capricciosa pizza (€10) and a Coca-Cola Zero (€4). The pizza price was quite reasonable, but I found it strange that a Coke costs nearly half the price of the pizza. My total bill came out to €16.50, which included the infamous "table service"- something quite typical for Italian restaurants, but in this case, the charge felt a bit steep. That said, I have to commend the staff. They were very polite and professional, which I really appreciated. I enjoy that kind of professional approach and it made a positive impression. As for the quality of the pizza - I have to say I was disappointed. Not because it was bad, but because I had higher expectations based on the reviews I had read. Honestly, the pizza was average. Not bad at all, just nothing special. It tasted like something you’d get in any other Italian restaurant. This is only my opinion of the Capricciosa pizza -I didn't try other options, which might be better. The atmosphere is very pleasant, both inside and outside. The restaurant is tucked away, yet still close to the city center, making it a great spot to take a break from the crowds.

My husband and I ordered a bufala margarita and a bottle of water (see photo). The English menu was barely legible and our cell internet was not working to see their menu online. No worries. We figured each pizza would cost 8-12 euros (in Catania it was 9 euro so let’s even say 12). I would never think we would be charged separately for the buffalo cheese 3 euros and another charge called volcanotto. I can’t seem to find out what that means other than I’m guessing it’s the black chard crust. That charge was 1 euro! For what?! So for 2 bufalo margaritas and 1 bottle of water (with the forced service charge) we paid 32 euros. Are you freaking kidding me? The pizza tasted just like the other dozen pizzas we’ve been eating in Sicily. Nothing special enough to warrant being ripped off. Very bad business behavior. My husband and I walked away in a daze, confused but as soon as I realized we’d been fleeced, I came on to trip advisor. To anyone reading this, it’s not worth going here. Unless you want to experience the fleecing, I would look for a more honest business. Honestly if this is Palermo then I think we may cut our trip short here.

A huge deception, I will not come back and I don’t recommend this place.

We arrived at 7:40pm and had our pizzas at 9:00pm. We thought they forgot our orders, mistakes can happen, so we asked few times 3 different waiters where were our orders and they did not seem to care about it...

We asked if we could have a commercial effort for all the time waited (it was the first time in my life that I was asking this because I really felt it was fair and normal regarding our orders). One waiter told us yes and that he was feeling sorry for us (the nicest one with his smiley mask, cheers to him).

Our surprise was when we when to pay : -They charged us 2 drinks of white wine at 4 euros and 2 others drinks of white wine at 12 euros, but we always ordered the same wine. -A 3 euros discount for all the time waited. They didn’t want to make a bigger effort. We had to talk with them during more than 10 min to have this 3 euros discount. They didn’t really want to listen and to understand, « we already lose (money) from your order », « this is your bill, thanks » unacceptable to say this to clients..

Pizzas are good but not exceptional. Just good. They are affordable, average 10-12 euros the pizza. The table near us was complaining about the quality of the ingredients.

Regarding to the service and the sympathy of the restaurant, I will not come back. I’m looking forward to find a good pizza restaurant in Palermo, understanding and kind with clients. Unfortunately, I will not keep a good...
