Pizzeria Frida in Palermo is a pizza lover's paradise. With an extensive menu offering a variety of mouthwatering pizzas, this cozy establishment has captured my heart. The staff members are warm and friendly. Now, let's talk about their Quattro Formaggi pizza. Words cannot do justice to the incredible taste explosion that occurs with every bite. The blend of four cheeses, perfectly melted and oozy, creates a symphony of flavors that is simply divine. From the creamy mozzarella to the sharpness of gorgonzola, each cheese adds its unique touch, making it a truly unforgettable pizza experience. Aside from the Quattro Formaggi, Pizzeria Frida offers an impressive range of delicious pizza options to cater to every palate. From classic Margherita to creative combinations of toppings, there is something for everyone. The attention to detail in the preparation of the pizzas is evident. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully chewy on the inside, providing the ideal base for the toppings to shine. The quality of ingredients is top-notch, resulting in a burst of freshness and flavor in every bite. In conclusion, Pizzeria Frida is a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts in Palermo. With their delectable and diverse pizza offerings, along with the warm and welcoming staff, this pizzeria is a slice of heaven. Don't miss the opportunity to savor their exceptional Quattro Formaggi pizza and explore the range of delightful flavors that will leave you craving for more.

We visited Frida on a hot Monday, in late September. The wait time was about 10 minutes, which was pretty reasonable compared to stories we heard. We were seated outside the restaurant, were there is no particular atmosphere. The square were the restaurant is located is not very pretty or scenic . The number of different pizzas on the menu was massive. We went with a fried calzonne, a montanara pizza and a frida pizza. Both pizzas were square with stuffed crust. The Montanara was tasty but pretty "by the numbers". The Frida was topped with pesto and pistachios (both sicilian specialties), and the taste was pretty unique . The calzonne was so and so. I enjoyed it, but my girlfriend found it pretty unremarkable. We also had a glass of white wine which my girlfriend enjoyed. I went with a coke. Our total tab was €53 All in all, it was a positive culinary experience, but not something extraordinary. We would recommend it with confidence.

My husband and I ordered a bufala margarita and a bottle of water (see photo). The English menu was barely legible and our cell internet was not working to see their menu online. No worries. We figured each pizza would cost 8-12 euros (in Catania it was 9 euro so let’s even say 12). I would never think we would be charged separately for the buffalo cheese 3 euros and another charge called volcanotto. I can’t seem to find out what that means other than I’m guessing it’s the black chard crust. That charge was 1 euro! For what?! So for 2 bufalo margaritas and 1 bottle of water (with the forced service charge) we paid 32 euros. Are you freaking kidding me? The pizza tasted just like the other dozen pizzas we’ve been eating in Sicily. Nothing special enough to warrant being ripped off. Very bad business behavior. My husband and I walked away in a daze, confused but as soon as I realized we’d been fleeced, I came on to trip advisor. To anyone reading this, it’s not worth going here. Unless you want to experience the fleecing, I would look for a more honest business. Honestly if this is Palermo then I think we may cut our trip short here.

Yeah this place is worth the hype. It’s a very modern place with amazing selection and stellar pizzas. The staff was so nice and spoke English (as well as other languages besides Italian I believe) which is just a nice plus. The food did not disappoint even though we’ve been to several pizza places, I believe this is the one to rule them all. We got the Stromboli and the Frida. The Frida was amazing and the salami on the Stromboli was thick and spicy just how we like it. I would definitely recommend! We didn’t make a reservation and only had to wait about ~10 but if you come later in the evening you should definitely have a reservation! Came out to £47 for 2 aperol spritz, 2 huge pizzas, water, and excellent service and ambiance. Worth it!

A great experience, the overall quality of this restaurant was fantastic. First of all the staff were polite, friendly, and even slightly humours. Not to mention this was on new years eve when there's tons of customers and they must be under quite some stress. So the atmosphere was warm and inviting, but to add on, and maybe most importantly, the food was delicious. My standards for how good a sicilian pizza should be have increased due to this expirence. I haven't ever seen slices so thin, and it was still crunch and not soggy. Truly "must try" expirence when dining in Palermo. I forgot to mention, the prices are also very reasonable, and for the experience provided I would have expected higher, but we were pleasantly suprised.

Definitely one of the finest pizzas you will eat in your lifetime. Nice chewy dough, finest quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. But fair warning these pizzas are very filling. Neither me nor my wife could finish our pizzas. It seemed like it happens very often there as the waiter was ready with boxes. Only reason for 4 stars is that the booking system does not work if you are trying to book in advance before your trip from outside of Italy. You must have an Italian phone number. Of course they have an app for this but that also does not work. We went there on off season and quite early compared to the local dinner time. The waiter was able to make space for two of us. But I don't think this will happen always.
