Walked through here on 1st May which is a public holiday in Italy. It was sunny, there were many people visiting giving it a lively atmosphere. The place was being used by people of all ages in groups of friends and family.
There are a couple of places to have a drink and a sit down. It will only take 20 min to walk round the place but it's nice to take your time, sit and enjoy the world passing.
There's a big pond (small lake?) with fish, ducks and a terrapin (small turtle?).

Not been here at night so cannot comment on safety but there were lamps along all the main walkways.
Worth a slow walk to take in the air if you're after a bit of space...

Best thing about the park was that it was the quickest way into town from our hotel. Loved Parma, but this the worst city park we have...
