The beach area is in a great location, has wonderful views, a nice buzzing atmosphere, and surprisingly clean water (given how close it is to the commercial port). But unfortunately, the beach itself is disgustingly dirty and absolutely buried in litter. You can't comfortably take off your shoes and enjoy the sand, because there are too many hazards lurking – I picked up dozens of pieces of broken glass and sharp plastic. It's a real shame because there aren't many proper sandy beaches in the area, and this one could be so great if people looked after it better. I've never seen somethung like that, considering I've been on almost all the beaches around Europe- from Germany all the way down to Turkey and Cyprus. Not desirable place to be either.
