This was the first time i went on a vacation with my dog & it won't be the last. 🐾 Italy already is known as one of the most dog friendly countries in the world and this is definitly correct🇮🇹 We stayed at this dog-friendly hotel called "Hotel Bazzoni" and we had the best experience there. They also have 2 pools on the second floor, if i'm correct. But ofcourse the dogs aren't allowed in teh pools. The hotel is based in Tremezzo. A ferry to visit other places at lake como is in walking distance. But there is a lot to do in Tremezzo itself. I really reccomend this place if you're looking for an affordable dog-friendly stay at Lake Como. #italy #lakecomo #travel #traveltiktok #travelwithdog #vacation #dogfriendlytravel #dogfriendlyplaces #hotelbazzoni #pool #travelinspo #comomeer #hondvriendelijk #dogmom #summerinitaly

You see a lot of very mixed reviews on the web, so bear in mind that this is a personal point of view, based on staying at the hotel for seven nights, as part of a tour group (Travel Department, Ireland). When booking we chickened out of any expensive extras to upgrade the room, pot luck, and ... the room was on the third floor, back of the building, no lake view (of course), no direct sunshine (great when it's 32 degrees outside), window offered a partial view of an outside wall (plus a larger view of folks sunbathing in bikinis and budgie smugglers). Air condition struggled (I mentioned the heat, I think), but generally speaking kept the room nice and cool. In fact, Herself got an extra warm blanket for the night. Generally speaking the room seems to have been recently renovated, everything spic and span, fridge and safe, small wardrobe, large shower, fairly quiet. No complaints at all, but the massive TV was in an odd location which would have made viewing a but of a struggle (Italian TV channels only, anyway, as standard for 3 stars). Lifts to the rooms are small and few (one for each part of the building), and it would help if folks used them for going up only ... then again some "all inclusive" visitors seemed to be struggling with the concept stairs quite early in the day anyway. On to the staff ... no complaints either, personnel very friendly and approachable, helpful, English could be a bit hit and miss at times, but hey, this is not Blackpool. On to the food ... breakfast was buffet style, with freshly cooked hot stuff available (I recommend the omelettes), decent layout and variety, but no baked beans (as one Liverpudlian guest complained). As usual in Italy, about a ton of cakes is served as well. And fresh fruit. Dinner was absolutely perfect, from size of portions to taste, with a fish option available every night (if you are vegan or vegetarian, or allergy-stricken, talk to the staff). No need to use the in-house N26 restaurant (which is, my opinion, overpriced anyway). If you should have a craving in-between, snacks are served in the bar ... the roast beef platter, the lasagna, and the (ginormous) club sandwich are recommended. Would we come back? Yup ... location is fine as well, boats leaving opposite the hotel, bus stopping in front, small shop next door, bars, restaurants, gelateria and the splendid Villa Carlotta within five minutes easy walk.

You pay top dollar for the view. 4th floor with a terrace. Terrace is open for everyone on that side of the hotel, so it's not private. It didn't matter to me. 2 deck chairs as well as a table and another 2 chairs to sit back and relax. Reception was cold and indifferent upon arrival, perhaps from lack of training. I was struggling with all the bags as my husband was with the car and even when I asked to use a trolley, someone just pointed to one, but no explanation as to any way of using it since there are stairs to the street. Wifi is not very good either. The beds are on the small side and clean. The whole hotel is quite dated. The room has only 1 power point available after you move the whole bed. Furniture rearrangement is necessary. There's a TV which is useless because there's nowhere to plug it into. The room was like a sauna . It is late April and the weather has not been very hot. The small air con unit cannot cool down the place. Even after opening all doors and windows to let the hot air out. Slept with the air con on 17 degrees, but was still hot overnight. Can't have the windows open bec it's on a main road that drivers tend to use as a race track overnight. Very noisy. Although there are shutters, they don't work at all. If you want to plug in your electric shaver in the bathroom or any other hair appliance, you'll have to move the mirror which is stuck to the wall.

We traveled here with Riviera Travel. The rooms are dated but with an old 70s charm. The rooms were very clean but basic. The air-conditioning wasn’t very good but there was a ceiling fan which helped us cool during the night. The room comes with no tea/coffee making facilities but does have a hairdryer and a small amount of toiletries. There are bath and hand towels and swimming towels can be purchased from the reception for a small cost. We had a room overlooking the lake. You do pay extra for this but it is well worth it. We have a little balcony with two chairs and a table to enjoy the views. Coming with Riviera travel we are on a half-board basis. We visited à la cart restaurant last night. The food was superb. The cheapest bottle of wine is around €34. There is a choice of 3 restaurants to eat at, the basic set menu in one restaurant with buffet starter and served 2 courses. À la cart with 4 courses and a traditional pizzeria. We have organised tours each day. You can get around on your own but driving a hire car could be hazardous as the roads are too small for the size and amount of cars on it.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel on Lake Como! It offers fantastic value for money. The view from my room was simply breathtaking, with a stunning panoramic look over the lake. The service was excellent as well. Even though it’s a three-star hotel, they cleaned the room every day. The staff welcomed me warmly, and communication was smooth both through Booking.com and via email. I was overall very satisfied with my stay. The location is also perfect, and the hotel restaurant downstairs is a gem. We had such a delicious and hearty meal with generous portions and great service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lake Como!

We got a lovely room with a balcony view over the lake - which is fabulous. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, and the meals are quite nice too.
