Located just near the catholic church of Santa Maria Maggiore, on the hill on the way from the Trieste city hall to the San Giusto Castle.

La chiesa risale all'XI secolo ed è il più antico luogo di culto della città (se si escludono i pur molto interessanti resti paleocristiani siti altrove). Avendo io passato molti anni a Trieste, mi ha sempre affascinato la purezza dello stile romanico e un equilibrio sorprendente tra sobrietà ed eleganza. Anche l'interno è interessante, leggo da recensioni recenti che non è sempre visitabile (una volta lo era) quindi consiglierei di informarsi anticipatamente per chi fosse...
