Mastro Birraio — Restaurant in Trieste

After searching for dinner and being tired of standard tourist pizza pasta cheap wine restaurants we popped into this pub. Originally attracted by the promise of a good craft beer selection, we were surprised to notice the fine selection of creative local food. We had a first-class marinated chicken with excellent baled rosemary potatoes and tagliata, a sliced steak on rucola and some parmesan cheese. Both dishes were excellent and complemented by a tasty craft beer. After a digestive Manchester bitter we could not withstand the temptation to try the Birramisu ... the chef's beer-wise interpretation of Tiramisu. The name is program: He replaced the Amaretto by a well-selected craft beer. The result? Well, rest of the world, just forget Amaretto ...

The location is really cozy and a guarantee for a nice evening. At least during our visit guests changed quite frequently, so reservation seems not be absolutely required.
