Even if it's small It's an amazing place. I've been there with my friends and we all enjoyed the place, the view and the vibe. From the moment I entered through the small gates, I felt I traveled to the past, to another place. It's actually really medieval. And the building, paintings and structure of the place is really accurate. There are also some shops with incredible articles and small prices all of them selling medieval stuff like swords, shields, bows, robes, etc... It's an amazing place to take your kids and show them how the castle and knights era would feel like.

A reproduction of a medieval village and castle within the Parco del Valentino. It’s free to walk through. There’s not much to see. There are a few shops and a couple signboards with information. Keep in mind that this is a reproduction, though as the signs state, it’s a detailed learning tool to show what a medieval village in this area would have looked like in its time. There are often school groups here, so be prepared for that. It’s not the most exciting attraction in the city, but if you happen to be in the area, especially if you’re strolling through the park, take a trip through just to see it. It’s not out of the way and won’t cost you.

It is quite the medieval experience. It catches the eye from across the river, but once you go on the other side and enter the castle, it is quite magical. There was blacksmith sounds from a person who was actually forging. There is a shop with souvenirs and I think there is also a place where you can sit and eat something. Also, some friendly squirrels in the trees from inside the castle. A must stop, if you want to be thrown in the past. It reminded me a little bit of Game Of Thrones

I really loved that place, I was the only visitor at this day. The castle can be visit in the frame of guide tour, strictly in italian language. So in absence of this skill it was really funny, i did not speak in italian she did not speak in english, but she was really kind. The coffe shop in the front of the ticket office was really authentic, highly recommended. But keep in mind that every bulding were built at the end of the 1800's!

Interesting reconstruction of the medieval town, it was constructed at the turn of the 20th century, using medieval drawings to make it look authentic. Inside there are blacksmiths, printing, jeweler shops where you can buy all sorts of items from rings to swords and armor. The place is situated in the well kept park next to the river, so you have an extra bonus of exploring it as well.
