This year, Maria Khramova and I became finalists for the Arte Laguna award with our installation “Rain”. This became an important event in our lives. We are architects and every two years we came to the Venice Architecture Biennale as spectators. Every time we admired the space of the Arsenal and the atmosphere of creativity. And now Arte Laguna has given us the opportunity to experience this fantastic atmosphere as participants. And when we made our installation near the Arsenal, drilled our stones, pouring water from the lagoon onto the drill, we could not believe that this was happening to us. The installation was not easy for us, but thanks to the great support and technical assistance of the entire Arte Laguna team, we succeeded. I would like to thank Sarah Tortato and Vittorio Mandelli. And, of course, especially many thanks to the ideological inspirer and main organizer of Arte Laguna - Laura Gallon. What Arte Laguna does for artists is very important. This is the formation of fate, career, determination of the artist’s creative guidelines. In addition, for the development of all contemporary art, it is important to create a global workshop with an atmosphere of creativity and communication between artists from all over the world. Today, during art week in Bolzano, there was a presentation of our installation “Rain” in a new interpretation. She was born in Venice, has now won a prize in Bolzano, and on October 26th will be the center of an exhibition of our other works in Milan at the exhibition “Life Lines” at the Espinasse31 gallery. And we will find out what dreams our stones see. And all this thanks to the Arte Laguna...

It was an absolute honour to be one of the finalists and exhibiting artists at the Arte Laguna Prize 2023. An unforgettable experience to showcase my artwork in Venice, the most beautiful city and center of ART in the world! The venue was so impressive, especially because it could accommodate my installation that is 6-7 meters high.

First of all, I would like to thank and mention the INCREDIBLE team of Arte Laguna Prize! They have been the most professional, supportive and accommodating team of people before, during and beyond the exhibition.

Secondly, it was fantastic to meet talented fellow artists, develop new relationships and gain new contacts from all over the world. To be exhibiting with a pool of excellent creatives was an honour and it felt very special!

Lastly, Arte Laguna Prize gave me a unique opportunity to showcase my artwork to a worldwide audiences! The exposure is incredible; I had so many more opportunities happening for me after the exhibitions like art galleries and museums reaching out and now resulting in new exhibitions. Most importantly, my dream for my artwork that I showcased at Arte Laguna Prize which is dedicated to my Kyrgyz nomadic culture and traditions is now travelling the world just like a yurt!!! It is a dream come true and I am so grateful to Arte Laguna Prize for the experience of a lifetime.
