I went to Venice for a 4 day break, i am disabled and use a mobility scooter. I went Venice with my husband and 2 friends. We were a bit worried about getting around with the scooter but actually we had a wonderful time, my scooter is light weight and foldable. And I had two strong friends. All the water buses aloud me to drive straight on. The taxi boats were not so keen and I was told at the airport that I wasn't aloud on the taxi boat with my scooter. But we managed to get a short road bus to the centre. Then get water buses from there. Ok so I can walk a little bit so when it came to bridges my friends had to carry my scooter over so I would say otherwise I wouldn't have got around very easy, there are alot of bridges. We went island hopping too using the water buses. It was a wonderful place to visit and make memories.

The Accademia Bridge (Ponte dell' Accademia) is span the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. It crosses near end of the canal (I dont know which side - the expert can know that) and is named Accademia Bridge perhaps from the school which is still there. The bridge links the district of Dorsoduro and San Marco. You can visit the San Marco church and its red tower. They are beautiful. This bridge is far from Rialto Bridge. Its not as busy as Rialto Bridge. After enjoying the beauty of the bridge move to Rialto Bridge for shopping and eating. Some lovers try to attach padlocks ("love locks"???) to the metal hand rails of the bridge, but this is not good...damage the beauty of the bridge. Please dont do that. Just enjoy the beauty of the bridge and enjoy the beautiful view from the bridge.

It is very beautiful bridge across grand canal connecting the San Marco district to the Dorsoduro district. I visited Ponte dell'Accademia on a sunny day in August. The bridge was crowded with people, but I was able to find a spot to stand and take in the amazing view. I was in awe of the beauty of the Grand Canal and the way the bridge seemed to float on the water. I also enjoyed watching the gondolas and vaporettos passing by. After admiring the view for a while, I wandered around the bridge and took a closer look at the architecture. The bridge is made of wood and has a graceful arch that spans the Grand Canal. It is a beautiful and iconic bridge that is a must-see for any visitor to Venice.
