fantastic, try the Testaroli al pesto, hard to find,a ligurian speciality made with chestnut flower and the best way to eat pesto. And then I had the fritto misto, it almost made me cry extraordinarily fresh and well made.——- 30 days and around 60 restaurants later, including pepe i grain (“best pizzeria in the world”) and luciano in rome (“best cacio pepe and carbonara”) this will remain as my favorite meal in Italy, from ventimiglia to amalfi and everywhere in between. the frenshness of that seafood fish, unbeatable. i see that people complain about the price, it is NOT expensive !! AT ALL !!! people don't have a clue, one spent 130 euros on SIX dishes plus drinks, and thinks that is expensive ? i will look forward every day to the next meal here ! and the service was very friendly, they recharged the batteries of my bike, i guess some people think they can disrespect their hosts and expect to still be treated well. edit: three years later, this is still THE BEST meal i have ever had in my life, my goal is to convince my friends to go eat here, preferably with me, that is my life, i work for that, i sleep for that, go there !! it will change your life !! that or i was extraordinarily lucky !!, that food was better than any food i had in over 15000 meals...

What to say... We arrived at the restaurant after having called to book, were warmly welcomed and seated at our table then... Nothing... No one came to do anything... 10min later a waitress comes to take our order, only to realise we didn't have any menus or anything. We made our choices and were looking forward to our meals. But the lady came back 2min later to tell us that two of our dishes were sold out. We chose other dishes, among which one of them was also sold out (so third choice it was...). Drinks arrived pretty quickly and then again.... Nothing... We waited for over 45min to get our food. And when we saw it arriving we were very excited. But our excitement was very short lived. As soon as we saw the dishes, all our hopes of having a nice dinner flew away... The lasagna was microwaved and already cold, the meat was way overcooked, the fries still a bit frozen, and the pasta looked like it came straight out of a prison's canteen. Service was terrible and rude, food disgusting and microwaved. If you want to taste Italy and enjoy a nice evening, please go look...

This restaurant is a true gem for seafood lovers. The spaghetti alle vongole was nothing short of extraordinary. The clams were perfectly cooked, tender and bursting with flavor. The pasta was cooked al dente, providing the ideal texture for soaking up the rich, garlicky clam broth. To complement this dish, we had in the octopus and potato salad, a refreshing and vibrant dish. The octopus was tender and delicately seasoned, and the accompanying salad was a perfect balance of fresh vegetables and citrus dressing. The presentation of both dishes was equally impressive. The spaghetti alle vongole arrived in a large, plate, allowing the aroma of the seafood to fill the air. The octopus salad was beautifully plated, with the tentacles and potato artfully arranged. It was clear that great care and attention had been given to every aspect...

Seafood pasta is very good here. It looks like a simple dish - seafood and pasta all thrown in.. it should taste just about the same in general. Not so for this restaurant. Surprisingly, the seafood scent is fresh and robust even before the waiter sets the dish in front of me. Not sure if the pasta is freshly made, but no matter. It was al dente, just right to soak in the simple clear sauce from the mixed seafood tossed inside. It was really that good. We tried the same pastas from the next restaurant and one more just a few doors down, and another in Vernazza. Nothing like this one. So if you feel like having seafood pasta, go for this one instead. One star less for no seaview, and slightly smaller portion of pasta than the other restaurants.

We were recommended other restaurants but we stopped because my wife loves pasta with clams and I can’t resist pasta with mushrooms. Both happened to be on the special board! So happy we went with our guts rather than the recommendations. On top of the specials, we had the stuffed mussels (typical of the area) and the seafood salad. Both were excellent. The specials did not disappoint either. Lots of clams and the porcini mushroom lasagna was amazing. Highly recommend adding the Cucina Casalinga to your Cinque Terre itinerary.

We went here for dinner tonight and it was wonderful. They have a lovely outdoor seating area, but it was full and they said we would have to sit inside. They took us downstairs to this quaint dining area where we could watch the sunset. It was just perfect. We got the spaghetti with mussels, clams, shrimp, and squid and it was so tasty. Such a gem in this wonderful town. As with all restaurants in Italy, they are not hurried or rushed, so enjoy your drink and savor the meal.
