1. rooms while they are a bit outdated in terms of furnishings and finishes, the room is still excellent with all the features you need. there is plenty of living space as well as storage areas. i absolutely loved it. 2. service extremely polished, and ive also heard that they train their staff to have a basic level of english proficiency, which was on display in the lovely room tour they give you when you first arrive. one commendable moment was when my family asked a member of the staff on the ground floor to help us take a photo with the christmas tree. before taking my phone to take a picture, he whipped out a small bottle of sanitiser to clean his hands before touching our phone! i was very impressed and thats the small details that matter. a pity i didnt get his name, else id mention him here (hes bespectacled thats as much as i know). the breakfast buffet at Camelia is scrumptious and was one of the highlights of our stay. 3. location: well located, with plenty of places to explore. there’s a nice laundromat nearby (see my review on MINE coin laundry), mitsukoshi is within walking distance, the hotel has an underground connection to a subway station as well. right next to the hotel is Hakata Riverain Mall, and walking straight out of the back of the hotel and through the mall you will see a wonderful shopping street with all sorts of shops, from kpop to food to kimono

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location– directly above a subway station on the Airport line. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. With that said, I'll mention I wasn't happy with my check-in experience. Everyone was friendly during my stay, but moments after I brought my things to the room the phone rang. It was the woman at the front desk who checked me in telling me the credit card I presented for payment had been declined. What?!!!! I'd been using that high-limit Visa card during a month of travel in Japan, South Korea and Vietnam without any problems. I was obviously concerned I'd become the victim of fraud and immediately went back downstairs to offer a different card. It was rather humiliating. The desk clerk couldn't explain why my card had been rejected, but she gave me a two-digit code that accompanied the rejection that I could use to contact my bank. Bottom line: The code meant the clerk had entered an incorrect CVV number from the back of my Visa. Her simple error had caused me considerable discomfort. I didn't see her again during my stay so I'm putting this in the review hoping the hotel management will ask the front desk staff to be more careful!

I personally like the location as it’s a bit away from the crowded Tenjin area. The room condition was quite nice, though the walls were thin so I could hear all the noise from the next door. The service at the hotel was rather off-putting. The female staff at the taxi stand was impolite. Had to wait for over 5 min at the restaurant reception, no one came to usher me to the table so I just left. And also there was no one at the concierge desk, waited for over 5 min. nothing, so had to go to the front desk to acquire the info I was looking for. Usually, at other hotels, if I was looking for something, a hotel staff would quickly approach and ask me if I needed anything, however, the service quality at this hotel was slightly disappointing. Over all, considering the room condition and the location. I might stay here again and hope for an improvement of the service quality.

This hotel is situated near an Airport subway station (around 200m), so it's convenient. In the room, you will find a bed, an old flat screen TV, a mini fridge (used as minibar), a kettle, AC and a humidifier. The room provides enough space, you will not feel cramped. The bed was a little bit too hard for my taste, the AC did work well. In the bathroom (not a standard Japanese unit), you will find a sink, a washlet and a bath/shower. You **need** to pay attention to the water temperature, the water taps 40°C mark is completely wrong Overall this is a really nice place to stay and the staff here will be full of attention towards you.

Great hotel to stay in Fukuoka. All employees have smiling faces all day long. In my thinking, This hotel scores 100 out of 100 in terms of food, location, amenities, management, and cost-effectiveness. Of course it cannot be compared to some luxury resorts, but among the 5 star hotel in Japan, I think this hotel is good.
