This is the must-go place whenever I visited fukuoka. They specialised in eels (unagi) and you can see them grilling the eel at the entrance. Their eel is always grilled to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft, tender inside. Also, the sauce is of the perfect consistency and sweetness. The rice is also fluffy, sticky and drizzled with the tasty sauce. For my experience, their lunch menu is more of a bargain than the regular (also dinner) menu. If you order regular menu, you will have a chance to try “three ways to enjoy eel” (unagi sanshoku” 1. Eat it plain. 2. Eat with wasabi and thinly sliced spring onion. 3. Add seaweed and spring onion and pour the soup to make a ochasuke. All of them are delicious ways to enjoy eel. By the way, the pork cutlet is also fried to perfection, tender pork and crispy...
Read moreSatisfying Dinner~ First time in Japan 🇯🇵 and this is our first meal. We arrived at Fukuoka at around 7pm. After we checked in, we found this restaurant on google map. It is really close to our hotel at Nakasu. 🥰🥰🥰 Really like their eel rice. The eel has a charcoal grilled flavour. The eel meats are soft in the inside, crispy on the outside. The pork fillet tonkatsu set is also really good. The pork is very crispy. It taste very good with the special sauce. We also ordered the side dishes - egg rolls with eel. It has a strong egg flavour and soft texture which melts in my mouth. The staff are really nice and they have English menus.

I believe they have branches in Nagoya and other cities in Japan too. I watch in marvel how skillfully the chef handled and grilled the eel to perfection. Both the extra hitsumabushi (one fish) and special pork fillet tonkatsu set was so satisfying and filling, and we can’t stop singing praises of the food throughout the meal. One thing I love about eating in Japan is that the rice is so good that eating the hot steamed rice on its own is already a...
