I found this sushi restaurant on Google Maps, of course, with good ratings and went there at close to 3 PM. Firstly, I tried to order the set with squid sashimi because I really wanted to try it. The chef walked to the water pond and looked into it for several seconds while talking to the waitress in Japanese. In the end, the waitress told me they ran out of squid... I didn’t believe her because otherwise the chef wouldn’t return to the pond and looked again. They should have given me the straight answer but anyway I wanted to eat... So I ordered the set with miso fish. Additionally, I ordered grilled Wagyu. I didn’t ask explicitly to have the dishes delivered one by one but expected it. To my surprise, they were all “rushed” to me. As soon I finished the appetizer, a jellyfish dish, I got the steak and shortly afterward the sushi plate. I had to decide what to eat first... I worked on the steak first so it could still be kept hot, while gazing at the sushi, thinking, didn’t the master sushi chef, Jiro Ono, believe each sushi piece was to be eaten as soon as it touched the plate for the best taste? I also wondered about the reason of the rush. After all, there were just me and another guest, and he was leaving. It’s absolutely not necessary to rush... By the time I finished the sushi, the last urchin dish had sit there for some time. How sad. They should have paid more attention to details and isn’t this philosophy what Japanese chefs are famous for? The food was good, but I still wonder how it would have tasted better if it was done right...
Read moreThe food here 5/5 All dishes and Nigiri taste good.
The price is reasonable for the set menu and dishes. (Around $120 per person), but the Nigiri sushi is way over priced.
The Service is 3/5
The front manager was very friendly and professional. That’s the extra star on top of 3 stars.
We ordered six dishes off the menu and they all throw out at same time. How can they do that, especially when this is a Omakase Restaurant. It makes you feel like you’re in a Chinese restaurant. Maybe I do look like Korean or Chinese. No chefs paid attention on us at all. The restaurant is not busy at all, so what’s the rush for? If any foreigner wants to experience how a Black people dines in a steak house in Texas, I promise you can find here.
One of the chefs 2nd from the left, constantly had a dry cough every minute. And he used his left hand to cover his mouth each time when he coughed. WTF! If this is in India maybe it’s ok, but not in one of the G7 countries. This is almost is common sense issue. Thank the Lord he didn’t make my food. Maybe the local Japanese customers’ immure systems are super strong.
Overall, it was a good food experience for the...
Read moreAn extraordinary culinary journey. This Fukuoka gem offers an impressive array of sashimi, sushi, and the coveted Saga beef. The quality of the food is nothing short of amazing. The sashimi and sushi selection showcases the chefs’ expertise in traditional Japanese cuisine, with each piece a testament to freshness and skillful preparation. However, the true star of the show is undoubtedly the Saga beef. Known for its intense marbling and tenderness, this beef literally melts in your mouth, offering an unparalleled dining experience. Another thing that sets this restaurant apart is the personal touch. Chef Osada looked after me during my visit, adding a layer of attentiveness and expertise that made the meal truly memorable. His passion for his craft is evident in every dish served.
The menu's range demonstrates the restaurant's commitment to providing a comprehensive taste of premium Japanese cuisine, satisfying both sushi aficionados and meat...
