It's a small waterfall and not very exciting honestly. Still a nice place to enjoy the silence, good atmosphere in the middle of the forest. Be careful not to get lost though: you have to walk like 10 - 15 minutes via a hiking path through the forest to get here. I wanted to take another path back (the one labelled Takanosu/Mt. Sengen), which I spent over an hour on before I finally got back to a road, and that was only after I'd luckily made the right choice twice, when the path branched without any signs! It's in the middle of the forest and my GPS didn't work there either.

Beautiful and peaceful waterfall to visit on a Sunday. The hike to get to the falls is all up-hill, and since we were traveling with a toddler we took a taxi to the entrance which was well worth the money in the summer heat and very convenient since we didn’t see any parking. The walk back was a bit intense in one neighborhood carrying a 25-pound toddler up a steep hill, but it was brief. We caught a bus back to the Gora station with no problems at all and would recommend that if you’re traveling in the summer months or with family who may over heat easily.

Easy downhill hike from sengen yama - part of the trail running from yumoto to ashinoyu. Easy access from kowakidani station and also has a bus stop near by. For those on a longer hike, there's a public toilet as well as a convenience store (with toilets) a few minutes by walk from the trail. The waterfalls are beautiful. The pond water is clear, fresh, and there are small fish. Could luckily spot a white crab (apparently a speciality of the area...). Good place to have a break/lunch. Lots of sitting area...

This a fantastic hike for little kids because it's short and easy terrain. It was about a 5 min walk from the parking area. There a two picnic tables where you can sit and enjoy the view. If you're feeling adventurous there trails continue up to Mount Sengen. Finding the trailhead can be a bit tricky as we did not find it to plot precisely on Google maps not did the small local roads show up well. It takes a bit of trial and error.

This is a lovely place to sit and have a lunch with your family. The waterfall is amazing and because of the rain today the stream was really moving and sounded beautiful. Even though it was sprinkling rain we were still able to stay fairly dry under all the trees there. It is a beautiful location to sit and just enjoy nature. The hike is very easy maybe 3minutes from the road to the waterfall.

Very pretty falls after a short walk from the road (we parked at some hotel, not sure if that was ok but was convenient!). Near the falls there are also connections to a number of hiking trails of varying lengths. We followed a 30min trail to a clearing with a picnic table. The trail was very well maintained and marked and was a nice little surprise.
