Normally, unless you are a usual customer of a tea house it’s impossible to attend to such a show, we feel blessed to have had the opportunity to see dances, listen to koto and shamisen live, beautifully executed! It’s for me one of the must have experiences in Japan!

Its a relatively short event (a little under 1 hour) but you get plenty of chances to interact with the Geikos and watch them perform a variety of their songs, instruments, and dances. So the time you do spend there is quality time. Highly recommend.

Did the Meet the Geisha experience. If you come here then book this experience. For someone who did not really know the history, and ideas marred by what Hollywood depicts, I found it very interesting, educational and refreshing. You can see the great deal of training required to be able to play multiple instruments, sing, do traditional dancing, don a kimono, and learn to entertain. It was a great experience to be able to interact with real Geishas and my respect for them...

I've had the Geiko experience for a tour I guided through town, and it was an amazing time. Both the museum and the history of the district was really interesting, and the activities with the Geiko and her master was entertaining and beautiful.

It is a great place to discover more about the true history of the Geiko lifestyle, and how it continues to grow...
