Mosaic — Attraction in Kobe

Randomly came to Mosaic after checking in the first day of the trip and stumbled upon a great place. There is so much to see here and even having been to Tokyo and Osaka, I feel like Mosaic is simple yet very interesting on its own.

I felt the mall was very kid friendly. If you love to shop for souvenirs and gifts, this is your place. You can find Kiddy Land here, Snoopy Town, Totoro, Sanrio and many more character shops. There’s also a lot of food to choose from. Local foods, steak houses, noodles shops, western fusion, you name it. There was one shop in particular that I loved. I didn’t catch the name but it sold various childhood Japanese snacks and chocolates, and you can buy them all individually at great prices. As a foreigner, I think this is a great way to help us sample all sorts of sweets and snacks without having to buy the entire packs.

We came back here at night to see the night scene and didn’t expect to see fireworks. Unfortunately after we had dinner, the stores were all already closed. 8pm is such an early closing time compared to where I’m from. But that’s okay. Just went back. Parking here was cheap. A 5 star location with 5 star variety of shopping, dining and activities for the whole family. It’s just by Meriken Park. There’s lots of stores to shop in from clothing, shoes, to trinkets, chocolates, characters like snoopy, Ultraman, Sanrio and some other Japanese ones I’m not sure. The whole place is interconnected and you can also access Anpanman character museum and mall which is also interesting.
