Kujō Pond (Remains of Kujō Residence) — Attraction in Kyoto

2021年3月11日訪問。子供とよく亀の甲羅干しを見に来たところです。あれだけ多くの亀がいたら池も痛みます。今日は、浚渫改修中であった。 九條池と拾翠亭は、五摂家の一つであった九條家の屋敷内に設けられた庭園の遺構です。このうち、拾翠亭は今から２００年ほど前の江戸時代後期に別邸として建てられた茶室で、遊び心にあふれた建築と言われています。 今でもお茶会等に利用されている他、木・金・土曜日（年末年始を除く）に一般公開されています。拾翠亭の前面に広がる池は九條池と呼ばれており、安永７年（１７７８年）頃、東山を借景とし、拾翠亭からの眺めを第一につくられたといわれています。 今は、木々が伸びるなど、当時の景色とは様子が違っていますが、京都の中心部とは思えないようなゆったりとした雰囲気を楽しむことができます。 Visited March 11, 2021. Kujo Pond and Shusuitei are the remains of a garden set up in the residence of the Kujo family, which was one of the five regents. Of these, Shusuitei is a tea room built as a villa in the late Edo period about 200 years ago, and is said to be a playful architecture. It is still used for tea parties, etc., and is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (excluding the year-end and New Year holidays). The pond that spreads out in front of Shusuitei is called Kujo Pond, and it is said that the view from Shusuitei was created first around 1778, with Higashiyama as the backdrop.
