Site of Abstinence Palace — Attraction in Kyoto

I was there at the mid of December when the illumination was already set up. When arriving there at 8 pm, it took us around one hour to walk to the bamboo grove. It was very hard to do some nice photos, because many people were there and the light is not very bright. The pictures look nice. BUT it's not that nice and the crowds make it unbearable. It has absolutely no atmosphere.
