A great place to visit, especially if you're looking for a quieter, more relaxed shopping and dining experience.
Situated away from the bustling city center, the mall exudes a serene, almost tranquil atmosphere, making it a perfect getaway from the usual city noise.
One of the highlights of our visit was the Sumikko Gurashi exhibition, which was a delightful experience. The characters and displays were charming and well-presented, offering a unique blend of whimsy and creativity.
There are sufficient culinary options at Sapporo Factory. From fast food like KFC to specialised stalls offering ice cream and curry, there's something for everyone. The Chinese food option also looked tempting. My family chose to dine at Ushitei, a restaurant specialising in Western cuisine. The food here was superb, with comforting flavors.
A standout feature of the mall was the live music at the center stage. It added a vibrant and lively atmosphere to the evening, making the dining and shopping experience more enjoyable. The performers were talented, and their music resonated well throughout the mall, creating a...
Read moreSapporo Factory (enclosed mall) was right across the street from the hotel we were staying at. They’re part of the Sapporo beer company’s real estate portfolio which includes all the similar looking brick buildings in the general area including the Sosei Hotel & Factory Hall.
It didn’t seem like there was air conditioning inside as the humid outdoors felt cooler.
The 4-level mall is split into two buildings along two blocks connected by a foot bridge. The layout is very odd with some shops & restaurants hidden behind blank walls. The main atrium building is beautiful, with a greenhouse-like glass ceiling, but has no cross access on the upper levels forcing you to walk the atrium’s circumference to get to the other side.

Read moreReally big place with a ton of things to explore! My only complaint is that the layout is really confusing, even with a map. There is a good range of food choices clustered in the basement of one of the intertwined 4 buildings that make up the Factory which include Okonimiyaki and Yakisoba made fresh on a plate grill in front of you. I really recommend trying the Cremia Ice Cream (520 yen) at one of the ice cream shops facing the large atrium, it is quite frankly the best soft serve I have tasted in my life (no joke; pic below). There is a pretty big 100yen store here as well (Seria) which you can spend at least an hour exploring. I only managed to cover half of the Factory when I visited so I certain there is alot more to see so...
