Excellent service and facilities. Top-notch experience. Great value. This modern, trendy hotel is located in a quiet area of Shinjuku, near Jingugaien and just a stone throw distance from Kokuritsu Kyogijo Station. Conveniently 2 stops from both Shinjuku (Toei Line) and Roppongi, and only 46 minutes from Haneda Airport with just one transfer at Daimon Station—elevator access all the way. The location is perfect for those who want easy access to the heart of the city but prefer to avoid the crowds and walk pass the drinkers in the evenings. The only minor drawback is the lack of convenience stores within a 3-minute walk, so it’s best to grab anything you need before heading back, or make use of the vending machine on the 2F. I really appreciate the flexibility of the service, such as allowing early check-in and even lending potentially hazardous items (like a pair of scissors) for a minute to open packages or remove tags. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and thoughtfully selected options. The pineapple was impressively sweet, even though it was out of season. You can tell they take care in choosing high-quality suppliers to ensure the best dining experience. The presentation is charming, from the jars and donuts to the nostalgic pancake machine making soft, fluffy pancakes 🥞 The public bath is fantastic, and I loved that they even provide a beautiful set of tableware in the room—perfect for enjoying a small, private gathering. The shower and bath facilities were excellent as well. My only concern was the dim lighting in the bathroom, which made it difficult to do my makeup. I had to rely entirely on daylight from the balcony, which, of course, depends on the weather. On gloomy days or at night, this could be a pain in bum. I would suggest providing a small makeup light in the bathroom which would make a great improvement. I absolutely loved the terrace and would love to stay again when the weather is warmer. Thank you so much for everything! 🫶

We stayed here on an overnight trip to Tokyo and really enjoyed the hotel. Not only do all the rooms have balconies but there is a rooftop terrace where you can get an amazing view of the National Stadium and Tokyo Skyline. Particularly nice at night. There’s is also a large public bath/sento/onsen on the second floor and it feels so good to soak and relax your muscles after a long day walking around Tokyo. There are free tattoo covers you can use if needed but I didn’t put one on and no one minded. Brand new and nicely appointed with restaurant/bakery/bar in lobby and a concierge available. Front desk staff spoke English and there is parking available if driving. It’s near both a JR Station if using the Japan Rail Pass but other station got the Oedo Subway is literally right next to the hotel. If you have kids, you’ll have plenty of room to let them run off a bit of energy in nearby Shinjuku Park. Cons are that other than the stadium there’s nothing right nearby - no convenience store or other shops/restaurants. Best to get your drinks/snacks/meals before hopping on the train to come back to the hotel. You’ll also hear the trains running on the tracks outside the hotel so if you’re a light sleeper this may wake you up early. We travel with a small, travel size white noise machine in Japan as it’s not uncommon hotels to be a bit noisy due to thin walls or traffic/trains outside. We didn’t hear our neighbors and the train wasn’t that loud but if you’re used to very quiet when you sleep you won’t regret buying a white noise machine/app to travel with in Japan.

An Exceptional Stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien My son and I stayed from October 1st to 5th, and it was fantastic. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Their English proficiency made communication easy. Without a Japanese adapter, our room had an iPhone charger, and reception provided a universal adapter. Breakfast was delightful, offering a modest yet excellent selection for Western guests. The hotel and area were peaceful but central. Opposite the Olympic Stadium, our 10th-floor room had a balcony with stunning views. The subway station was just 50 meters away (with some steps), making it easy to explore Tokyo. Only 10 minutes by train from Shinjuku and 15 from Shibuya—perfect for sightseeing. We couldn't have chosen a better location. Our room was exceptional. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the temperature perfect. The separate shower and bathtub were a dream after long days. Coming from Norway, we found the toilet pure luxury, with flushing options, massage functions, and a heated seat. The only downside was I couldn't use their public bath due to tattoos, but that's a cultural thing, not the hotel's fault. Overall, a 10 out of 10. If we return to Tokyo, we'll definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

It’s a very new hotel. It’s conveniently located right next to a subway station and about 5 min walk away from a JR train station. The area is about 20-30 min walk away from Shibuya, Shinjuku and Harajuku, yet it’s very green and quite. They have both smaller and bigger rooms and they are beautifully designed. The bathroom with the nice and deep bathtub is amazing. The bathhouse is also very nice (bring towel and pajamas from your room). The hotel has facilities like self-use washing machines (with dryers), microwaves, an ice machine and three vending machines for drinks and snacks on the 2nd floor. The gym is a bit basic but it’s okay. There are a couple of restaurants and convenient stores within 10 min walk. The national garden is very close by. The hotel employees are very nice and helpful. . *Update (2024) we are keep coming back here because we absolutely love this place. This year our room had both the city and mount Fuji view. You can also see mount Fuji on clear mornings from the rooftop terrace from the right corner. We have stayed in both the queen and twin rooms here, if you like a bigger room get the twin with the two beds, they are pushed together so they serve as a massive king bed. While more expensive the twin rooms are significantly larger than the queen rooms.*

Thief in the building!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately have to leave a bad review for 2 reasons main reason being I had my lock to a suitcase next to my important items as pictured below it was on the left hand side of the picture next to my backpack and magically went missing I took this up with the staff as it’s a lock I’ve had for 15 years (weird item to keep I know) but knew deep down I would never misplace this. The next day I went down as I had no answer to just ask where I can buy one from then to be told the housekeeper said it was behind the bin .. a bin that is flush against a wall and about 3 metres away from the place it was placed. (Pictured also below). We had bought a lot in Tokyo so had expensive items in the room. My wife noticed her bag had been opened also so we had suspicions of the housekeeper after this but then to know exactly where a key was, situated behind a bin is bizarre to me it seems like they was testing the waters to steal. Spoke to management but was like speaking to a brick wall and they believed the staff for certain and it was a fact what they said. Second of all - nothing in the area. No where to purchase any food etc have to rely on an hour wait from uber eats as the hotel do not do room service.
