remm AKIHABARA — Attraction in Tokyo

The double economy room is 14m and if you have a luggage bigger than 26 inches, it will be difficult to open. Big window which gives a more open feel👍🏼👍🏼

Location is convenient, next to train station and 2 stops from Tokyo station. Please do not exit from Electric town centre exit as its the further exit to hotel.

Note that there are 2 starbucks near the hotel and it is next to 1 of the starbucks.

There are also 2 main exits from Akihabara station and if you exit from 1 of them (not Electric town centre exit), just turn right and its a few minutes away.

The room looks more vibrant in red but I don't like the white lights, there are no warm lights.

And for 1 of the elevators, you have to transfer to the 6th floor to go to 1st floor which is kinda troublesome and takes time as the lifts do not come quickly.

Once the other 2 lifts were not occupied but we only could use the lift that only went to the 6th floor.

Even on the 15th floor, I can still hear a bit of noise especially during the weekend and when people are being loud.

The toilet has a bit of noise from the toilet bowl and I do not like hearing it in the morning. Facilities can be better.

The air purifier doesn't have other languages labeled on it and it started making a loud sound and I had no idea why. After restarting it, it was fine.

A random note, I don't like the slippers they provide as it absorbs the cold so if you mind, then do bring your own.

Paid 800 yen for accomodation feel upon check in.

This is a busy area and there is a mall nearby, Yodobashi mall, which has a lot of eating options and variety on 8th floor.

I wish they had more services because if you want more pillows or an iron, you'll have to collect it yourself from the receptionist at the 6th floor. But the cool thing is that you can choose different types of pillows according to softness.

For the iron+ironing board, you only can borrow for an hour and will have to return it.

And for each night, there are different receptionist staff. On 2 of the nights, they willingly gave me 2 bottles of extra water when I asked for it.

But on the Apr 7 night, 3 of the staff were strict and not willing to give me an extra bottle of water. A bottle of water is not much and that was not good customer service.

They do have good service generally but am disappointed with the reception team on Apr 7 night.

And some of them speak english and can understand english...

Absolutely dreadful in every way. I've never had such bad service at a hotel, let alone one in Japan. The rooms are tiny and hotel offers next to no amenities. When I checked in , the bathroom was filthy. Then toilet seat was covered in dried piss. I had to ask them to send one to clean it. Next I used their "laundry" service, which is actually dry cleaning and that is NOT the same thing. Not only did they charge me an arm and a leg (before I was allowed to check the clothes), but once I did check them, I noticed that all my clothes are covered in some type of stain. I phoned the front desk and they asked me to come down to show them..once I did that , all the guy at the front desk did was laugh. Admittedly, probably a nervous laugh but a laugh nonetheless. Not a professional at all. His only response was to take photos and ask his manager in the morning to see if they could "maybe" give me a refund. Maybe ! At the time of writing, I am currently out the nearly 30,000 yen they charged me to "clean" my clothes and likely the cost of the clothes as well. Just stay at the APA Hotel about a block away if you have the option and save yourself the headache.

-update: in the morning, after waiting all night for the manager to call me , I ended up having to call them. I was told that the manager did not approve the refund and that all they could do was rewash the clothes. When I told them I can't do that because I was leaving that afternoon, they told me to leave my clothes with them and that they would ship it to America later. This did not work for me at all. I ended up having to come down to the front desk in person and basically force them to let me speak with the manager. When the manager finally came out , he was noticably younger than the clerks he was "managing". I was also told he couldn't speak English, but after the interaction I had with him, I'm not too sure he even knows Japanese. As I was explaining everything that happened and the other guys was presumably translating, all he really did was hold his hand up to his chin. The only thing I actually heard him say was "oh gojira!" When I pulled out a graphic t shirt that had been stained. He was completely disinterested in the situation. It was like pulling teeth just to get these clowns to give me a refund for obvious error...

Remm Akihabara is a hotel located in the heart of Tokyo's Akihabara district, directly connected to JR Akihabara Station. Here's what you need to know: Linked to Tsukuba Express Akihabara station: exit Linked to JR Line Akihabara station Central (Chuo) Exit Approximately 4 minutes from Tokyo Station (2 stops) We stayed at the Remm Akihabara Hotel. We had a nice stay as hotel was well connected with metro. The hotel is modern with all amenities. We had booked 2 rooms. One for our son& one double bedroom for us. Our son's room was all fine as he was alone, but for us, our room was very small, I was scared of how my big suitcase would fit in the room. Then inside the room also very little space to keep things. We just had to put our things all around wherever we got place. In my life, I have never stayed in such a small room. Opening my suitcase to bring out clothes was very tiring & very risky too as I or my husband could get hurt with so much less space. The bathroom was good. That we enjoyed. The massage chair was small so I was scared to sit. The bed too was small for two of us. My husband couldn't sleep as it was so small. They don't provide tea bags or anything in the room. We had to collect all these things from the hotel lobby. Moisturiser they don't provide so please have your own moisturizer. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly. For breakfast we had taken buffet. Here they had 6 set menus. So you can choose whatever you want from that menu but I will say if someone staying for 8days it will get monotonous as no change in the set menu. I just want to say that they should change the dessert menu as every day we used to get the same coffee jelly cream like they can just change the flavour of the jelly that can make lot of difference. Breakfast was tasty & delicious specially sticky rice& beef gavy. Apart from the room, I found this hotel very convenient &...
