A very quiet place in Riga, very close to Origo. There's an abundant amount of wildlife in the area, and they are definitely not afraid to get up close for the right reasons! There are boat rides, coffee shops, national Opera building nearby. For Pokemon Go players, this park is nearly the famous 3 pokestop hang out place. Just keep heading along the path until you see the three pokestops that is constantly lured or the masses of people sitting comfortablely on the benches with their phone out.

Riga is definitely a wonderful place to spend couple of days and is truly Pearl of Baltics. Besides benches to enjoy sunny day and picturesque bridges over the canal, the park contains memorials to those who died there in Latvia’s struggle for freedom. There is so much to see in this beautiful park, including the canal, statues, Latvian House, Lovelock bridge, fountains and even boat rides. This park is right in the center of the city.

You can't miss it, and you shouldn't, when you're visiting Riga. A sweet, spacious park in the middle of the centre that offers you some time to chillax and enjoy. You can take a small boat tour across the canal but I recommend to take your partner on a rowing boat. There's a small hill with waterfalls in the middle of the park that offers a great view of the freedom monument. Lots of seats and lots of nice people here on a sunny day.

Actually I never went to that place. I was playing Minecraft Pocket edition, I have built a house in the game and took a screenshot of it and After 2-3 hours I got a notification from Google Maps that You have went to Bastejkalna park. And ask me to contribute. So I just contributed it because I am a nice guy. The first picture is of Bastejkalna park according to google 😁😂🤣. All the pictures of my Minecraft house.

The cutest green park split down the middle by a lazy small river. All the grass and trees are beautifully manicured, with plenty of open space and line of sight to the distant horizon. There are boats and canoes available for rent. The tall trees provide ample shading during the warm summer days. Bring your favorite blanket and picnic basket here for a pleasurable say at the park. Heal your soul!

Gorgeous park which marks the border between Riga old town and the Central district. Despite being in the middle of a country's capital city, it's very peaceful and is the perfect place for an early morning/evening stroll. The freedom monument can be seen clearly from the park too and if you time it right you'll be able to catch the changing of the guards.
