Museum of the barricades of 1991 — Attraction in Riga

Cute museum! Tells the important story of how Latvians got rid of the russian devils who occupied their country since WW2. We had to call for the museum worker to open the front door, which also tells a lot about Latvian hospitality😅😉❤️🇱🇻 Needs better information in English (not just a handout) and JUST KEEP THE DOOR OPEN if you want visitors and make money. Lots of potential, but someone needs to take charge of marketing this...

A small museum about the 1991 revolution in latvia. It's a bit hard to find as the museum entrance isn't obvious (generic wooden door with a museum sign above it and then up a flight of stairs, definitely not handicap accessible).

The exhibits are all in Latvian but there is an English page you can read from that will give your some background. Single floor exhibit, maybe 30 minutes tops looking...

Nice museum but a bit difficult to find. Better signage would help. It's on the second floor and not wheelchair accessible.

There is no admission per se. Donations are accepted however.

The exhibit about life in the USSR was interesting, especially the "keyholes". It's difficult for someone who grew up in the west and/or after 1991 to imagine what it must...
