The exceptional location was the primary reason for my two-night stay in April 2025. Old Town Riga offers a vibrant atmosphere, ideal for exploration both during the day and at night. The hotel is conveniently within walking distance all over the Old Town. Riga Station is about 15 minutes through the cobble streets. However, for those with luggage, a Bolt ride to the hotel is around EUR 5, taking only five minutes. The accommodations were comfortable, with my room on the 5th floor providing an excellent view. The bathroom was modern, spacious, and well-equipped with toiletries. The bed was comfy and the linen were clean and fresh. The breakfast, included in the rate, was truly outstanding. Due to an early departure for the airport at 4 a.m., the manager demonstrated exceptional service by ensuring that transportation was arranged in advance. Additionally, she personally handed me a thoughtfully prepared breakfast pack at that early hour. Having stayed at numerous hotels, I must commend Hotel Justus for delivering truly exceptional customer care. I extend my sincere gratitude to the entire team for their efforts.

Hotel’s location as well as the breakfast being served are the best part of this institution. A stone’s throw away from all things culture and history plus the decent breakfast that will power you for your exploration throughout the day. The room, however, left much to be desired. The TV is not only tiny but old. There is no AC to plug in any device near the bed. The bed is quite old and mattress already caved in. Still a 4 star because location is top notch and hotel staff’s customer service is also above average. Price to value ratio is fair.

A charming old hotel in the Old Town of Riga, with Riga's main sites in walking distance. It's in a quiet and lovely old street. Staff are welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The hotel is modestly priced and breakfast is included in the rate. I had room 403 - which was the cheapest rate when I booked - and I was pleasantly surprised as this room was quite spacious with front views of the old street on which the hotel is situated. I've included some pictures of the street the hotel is in, the interior of my room and the view from my window.

The hotel has value for money in the old town area of Riga. Check in was smooth and we were able to get into our room quickly to drop off our bags and get to Arena Riga for an ice hockey game with limited time to get there. The location is very central to the sites of Riga's old town and there are some very good restaurants nearby. There are quite a few convenience stores and souvenir shops nearby but they close fairly early. The hotel has a very interesting feeling to it with exposed brick walls and original/restored wood beams and stairs. We appreciated that it also had an elevator to get to the top floor we stayed on.We booked the twin room and had a pleasant stay and the room was quiet enough to get a good night's rest despite the bars nearby. The beds were comfy but the pillows were a little thin. The room had a fully stocked mini bar with decent prices which would help if we got desperate for drinks. There was a large wardrobe and a small work desk in the room too. There were also plugs conveniently placed around the room so we could get all our devices charged. The bathroom was quite large and we appreciated the hot shower and towel warmer. They provide handsoap and a body/hair gel for the shower. The rooms have air conditioning and the windows open to help with the stuffiness. The twin rooms have a slanted ceiling so my short wife had the bed on the slanted side and had no issues. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the variety of food brought out both mornings. They had hot items which changed a bit each day and included an egg omelette, bacon, potatoes, a Latvian pancake and sausages. There was a good spread of cold items too and we are sure a vegetarian would be satisfied with the offerings of vegetables, cheeses, devilled eggs and fruit. The coffee machine made a very good hot chocolate and they also provided juice and water with breakfast. There is a bar behind the check in counter that is open to hotel guests and a nice seating area in the lobby too if you're looking for something more later. There is a sauna at the hotel but we weren't sure if it was open during our stay or what time it did open because there were no hours posted and we didn't get a chance to ask the staff. There is very limited free parking near the hotel and it seemed like the same local parked in front of the hotel each day. We would recommend taking the bus from the airport if you have the time but if you're in a hurry Bolt is pretty affordable in Riga to get around. There are car rentals north of the hotel and Bolt works in old town to book electric scooters and cars which was pretty convenient during our...

Really nice hotel in the old town of Riga. Great location for exploring this beautiful city. The reason I haven’t given the hotel a score of 5 is because we were slightly disappointed with some aspects. I wouldn’t have raised a complaint because these are relatively minor issues but worth making people aware of. 1. We only had one very small, flat pillow each and had to ask for more. 2. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. 3. The shower and toiletry rack in the shower cubicle were loose and felt like they could fall out of the wall at any moment and there was quite a lot of black mould around the shower cubicle. 4. Breakfast was disappointing on the first day. We were not last minute but despite this items had not been replenished and the coffee was dreadful. We are happy to try local cuisine and always choose to eat traditional dishes so we are not complaining that there was no English breakfast. There were some ‘English type’ items - something which resembled scrambled eggs which were solid, streaky bacon which was floating in a warmer along with bratwurst type sausages - all of which were wet, soggy and unappetising. 5. There was a dirty pillowcase behind the sofa in the room when we arrived, this was still there when we left.|However, the room was large, mostly clean and comfortable. Aircon was available and a mini bar with reasonably priced drinks. On our second morning, we had an earlier breakfast and the choice was much better. The ‘English’ items were the same so we avoided them but there was some delicious ham and cheese on toast and plenty of cheese, ham, croissants, bread along with many...

We were extremely happy with our stay at Hotel Justus. The hotel is located in the middle of the beautiful Riga Old Town, only a 3-minute walk to the Christmas Markets, 5-minute walk to the famous churches, and 20 minutes to the Art Nouveau District which houses some of the art galleries and museums. We stayed on the third floor in a standard double room. The room was spacious enough for a couple, had a well-functioning bathroom and also a comfortable bed and pillows. The room was well heated for the sub-zero temperatures. It has lifts. Breakfasts were delicious with both hot and cold dishes - scrambled egg pie, crispy bacon, sausages, fresh vegetables, porridge, pickled herring, wheat and rye bread, fruit and pastries. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing information for the major galleries and museums and even helping me find the Leica store. Before the holiday, manager, Einars was extremely helpful finding us a private driver to drive us from Riga to Tallinn at the end of our stay. This is a very historic, boutique hotel with a cosy ambience. I believe the restaurant on the ground floor is open in peak seasons. Nearby are at ;least 20 restaurants and cafes, and many bars. A wonderful...
