A yesteryear wonderland for everyone because within walking distance, one can get goody tasty food and drinks, comics, cinema, arcade game machine gallery, bookstore and stationary, shoes shop, barbers, clinics, ice cream and candy stores, daily farm produce of veg, meat, fish, catch of the day, pharmacy, chinese medicines and drug store, grocery shops, convenient store, lottery outlets, tailor, petrol station, bike and cycle repairing, electronic and appliances, vhs rental, records and cassette shop, stage and concert hall, hangout place, fastfood outlet, confectionery and bakery shops, yearly festive market and yes a once housed a departmental store and a supermarket etc etc. It was so so wonderful and alive back then from early morning till midnight. Read moreFOODCOURT: Arrived by 10am-ish so the market died down a bit I reckon. Went up to try the food court to try. Ordered Laksa from Soon Heng Stall No 23.laksa was flavourful with thin but delicious broth. Coffee ice was from Anisa 11A a bit thin for me for RM2. 70 but my partner said she can taste the coffee (which is how low the yardstick for coffee in Kuching).
Stall closed before 11am so do come early. There's a RM3 kolomee that looks promising but yet to try. Next visit!

Read moreNice place to grab local foods and eat like local. The food stalls are on second floor and there is a lot of stalls. But i can’t say the same for the food since most of them sell the same thing. So you just go and pick any store you like.
Price is reasonable cheap and the food is amazing. There are also many snacks and kuih that you can get here. Mostly are chinese and malaysian fusion.
