Plaza Pelangi — Attraction in Johor

It is the one and only plaza that houses a cold storage supermarket in the state of Johor. Crowded out by the likes of Village Grocer, B.I.G, Jaya Grocer and a host of competition on a lower-class scale, somehow the supermarket manages to keep its regular clientele and its niche business. Goods are up-market priced(more expensive than VG, BiG & JG) but people frequent it because of its easily accessible location, simple coupon-based parking and that it provides plastic bags for every other day except Saturdays. Within the Plaza you'll find a McDonalds, Coffee Bean, Guardian, Arabian restaurant, Peri-peri Chicken and a Seasons cafe. The I.T section is found from the 2nd floor onwards where you can shop for mobile phones, laptops, printers and its related peripheral and accessories. Suggestion Weekend routine CSR activities for kids such as story telling, craft or music learning session, in collaboration with nearby kindergarten or music school or private institutions. A win win situation they can promote their institution as well.

Centralised Health & beauty center. Massage Thai, Malay, Chinese, Ayurveda, shiatsu, chiropractic etc placed at one section. Hair , beauty salon and clinic put under the same section. Become a hub for medical tourism.

Hub for small tailor, clothes alterations outlets, wedding dresses at another section. Place where people can seek for traditional culture attires under one roof.

Hub for hobbies such as fishing equipment, gardening, outdoor...

Clean toilets, ample parking space, amazing place to buy computer related items and gourmet ingredients.

Cold Storage is one of the best stores to buy gourmet ingredients and imported food products in Johor. It's been around for a long time and has never disappointed when it comes to quality and service.

I personally recommend the Arabian Nights restaurant at level one, they serve great Arabian cuisine and very good prices and has amazing atmosphere.

It's a shame MetroJaya closed, but I still love Plaza Pelangi. It used to be better honestly, but it's still a solid mall for people who are looking for a more relaxing shopping...
