KL Bird Park is a 20-acre bird park located in the scenic KL Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is claimed to be the world's largest free-flight walk-in aviary. The park houses over 3,000 birds from over 200 species, including ostriches, flamingos, parrots, and peacocks. The park is divided into several zones, each with a different climate and environment. The Tropical Rainforest Zone is home to birds from South America, Africa, and Asia. The Temperate Zone features birds from Europe and North America. The Australian Zone has birds from Australia and New Zealand. And the Free Flight Aviary is a large open area where birds can fly freely. The park also has a number of educational exhibits, including a bird hospital, a breeding center, and a hatchery. There are also several feeding stations where you can feed the birds. I visited KL Bird Park on a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur and I had a great time. The park is well-maintained and the birds are well-cared for. I was particularly impressed by the Free Flight Aviary, where I was able to see birds flying freely overhead. Overall, I would give KL Bird Park a 4-star rating. It is a great place to learn about birds and to enjoy the beauty of nature. Here are some pros and cons of KL Bird Park: Pros: Large variety of birds Free-flight aviary Educational exhibits Well-maintained Clean and tidy Cons: Can be crowded during peak times Some of the exhibits are small Food and drinks are expensive Overall, I would recommend KL Bird Park to anyone who is interested in birds or who wants to enjoy a day in nature. Just be sure to go during off-peak times to avoid the crowds.

I recently visited the KL Bird Park with my family and we were blown away by the sheer variety of bird species on display. The park is home to over 3,000 birds from around 200 species, and it's truly a treat for the eyes. As soon as we entered the park, we were struck by the lush green surroundings and the sounds of chirping birds filling the air. The park is well-maintained and clean, making it a pleasant experience for visitors. The birds are housed in spacious and naturalistic enclosures, which allowed us to get up close and personal with them. We were able to see birds from all corners of the world, including parrots, eagles, owls, and even flamingos. One of the highlights of our visit was the bird show, which was both entertaining and educational. The trainers were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and they shared interesting facts about the different species. We also enjoyed the interactive sessions, such as feeding the birds and learning about their habitats. The staff were friendly and helpful, answering our questions and providing insights into the world of birds. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the KL Bird Park. It's a must-visit attraction for nature lovers, bird enthusiasts, and families. The park is open daily from 9am to 6pm, and tickets are reasonably priced.

For RM35, this is an excellent place to spend an afternoon at. The overall park is much larger than expected, with a lot of free-roaming birds around. The park appears to be pretty well maintained, the birds themselves appear to be in good health, and there are little gacha machines around that sell bird/fish food that visitors can use to feed the birds around. Some birds are bold enough to wander close to visitors as well, especially in Zone 1. The zones are neatly separated by double gates, with a waterfall on one end and a lovely walk by a stream on the other. There are a lot of feeding spots around (with ample papaya slices placed on them) where visitors can respectfully observe birds eat and interact with each other. The park is also large enough that it didn't seem crowded, despite seeing a healthy number of visitors. Despite the whole park being open air, there is plenty of shade and seating areas scattered throughout the park, which makes the walkaround more pleasant. If you get the opportunity to observe the birds' feeding times, do! It's a great opportunity to observe some of the rarer birds eat, and some spots will allow visitors to feed the birds directly (for example, feeding the lories for a small fee of RM2).

My kids and I just came out of a nearly 90-minute walk (and distance totaling almost 1.7km) in the Bird Park and we loved our trip there, since our last one was way back in May 2015… Explains why it's reputed to be the world's largest free-flight, walk-in aviary! It was nice to see the birds all roaming freely in the park, which means we can get up front and personal with iconic birds like the peacock (including one with his tail feathers open, in front of us), yellow-billed stork, pink flamingo, several species of owls, the Langkawi eagle, the Western & Victorian Crowned Pigeon (with the tuft of feathers that look like a crown, hence the name), and even a large pelican scratching his back by the pathway… While not forgetting the large incubator building where the boys got to see so many young chicks as well as being able to see the two biggest birds in the world - the African ostrich and the emu from Australia! The kids were also excited to see ducks, geese, and chickens in front of them, with their familiar quacking, honking, and clucking sounds… Since we’re city boys, it’s quite hard for us to see these animals and as such, what a treat it was to be able to come up to these farm animals up close!
