I am a solo traveler stay here for 1 day from 22-23 Feb 2025 for my running event on 23rd Feb 2025. For me it is great since near Pasar Seni lots of other hotel was run down as if their management don’t really care anymore. The room for me was double room and have window since it is at the back of building on Level 3. Not to worry the elevator works fine albeit being a bit slow but that’s okay. Room : I stayed at Superior Room so there is window. If I open the window, straight away can see the Hindu temple at the back. I was lucky enough as I only heard the sound from the temple right after checking in at 2PM. At night it was very quiet. Even at 4am the temple does not making any sound. The cleaner working and came at 10-11AM so the room was clean, no hair on floor and toilet also very clean. They gave me 2 towels, there is toothbrush too and bath gel. Water pressure is strong and water heater works fine. I spend time there may be most of the time working, and internet was fast enough for me to do work. Location : Strategic as near Pasar Seni LRT station. Nearby you can get your laundry at self service coin laundry 2 doors away from the hotel reception, KK Mart also next door and there is Mamak Place nearby (Restaurant Al Baik Bistro). The famous Petaling St also nearby like 300m away. Some other shops within walking distance like Burger joint near Jalan Sultan and other food place like Mee Tarik etc. Improvements: I think improvement maybe for the reception, put some decor, humidifier, stronger lighting (reception area was a bit gloomy), or put air fresheners (like cheap one that use USB so that the area can smell better). You can store luggage there after checkout. I do not do that since I straight away checkout. For me I would come again. Since the price is reasonable for the excellent service! Keep up the great work! The hotel front door is close from 4.30AM to 6AM for safety since the area is quite hectic and may have homeless since it is a very huge transit point in Kuala Lumpur. So safety first. If you need help however make sure communicate with reception so that you can leave the hotel if you need to go to airport at 5AM. They are super friendly. Staff was nice and welcoming. What I can think of is they made my stay super comfortable.

This review is pertaining my stay at the room without a window. The location for the hotel is very near to LRT/MRT Pasar Seni so it's very convenient. It's also a short walking distance to Petaling Street and the popular cafes around Chinatown. The sound-proof wise I think it's not too bad. The room is averagely clean as there is still dust hanging around the painting of the bedroom, and the toilet holder is dirty too. I got bitten on my waist, leg and back too. Might be bed bugs or other bugs in the room. However, the bathroom only has one shower gel, normally hotels will have one for hair and one for body, but they only have one. Next, there was no toilet paper given, needed to request. As for room service, they come everyday, I appreciate that they change the sheets and clean the room averagely well. However, sometimes there was no mineral water given, sometimes they do not refill shower gel and sometimes no towel! When i request from the counter, the staff will say they do not have access and have to wait till the next day. When the housekeeper came and gave the missing items, he was unhappy and didn't wanna reply. I asked for these items in a polite manner too btw. Also, my luggage is placed at the cabinet of the room but the housekeeper likes to carry and put it on the floor when he does the cleaning. I mean that's fine but he just put the luggage straight to the front part of my sneakers, causing my sneakers to have a big stain as its compress to the wheel of the luggage for a very long time. I do not appreciate this. Other than that, the lobby and the hallway is kinda dark. All in all, it's a simple room with average standard.

Unfortunately we had to check out early due to the noise of the hotel. Positive: The hotel is in great location closed to food and markets. The price is good for what it is. The room is fine, clean enough, has aircon. Negative: the hallway and elevator is dark, a bit scary, and the homeless people outside are a bit unnerving. They didn't do anything, but we had to be still a bit cautious. The staffs are ok but pretty unfriendly overall. The worst was the noise. You can hear everything, everyone around you, you can hear their conversations, tv, walking, moving things, hear babies crying. And at night the train stations singers and musicians played until 1am, you can hear them loud and clear as if they were right in front of you. The temple near by plays their bells early in the morning for 30 mins didn't help either. Overall, bad experience stay, not recommended for light sleeper. If you only want to have a short term stay and closed to Chinatown then yes, absolutely, but anything longer than 2 nights is very unpleasant.

Staying for 1 night on 7 June 2019 with my family. This time we took a Deluxe room. I book the room through booking.com. Upon check in, i presented my ID but they still asking me for the booking number which i don't have with me at that time. It's seem that they really didn't welcome my arrival as the my room rate I get from booking through booking.com is more cheaper than their published rate. Through my previous experience checking in the hotel which I booked from booking.com, the hotel never request of the booking number and only enough with my Identity card and they can manage to find my booking number. But not with this Lavana Hotel. I really felt unwelcome with their staff action towards me.||Room doesn't have any telephone or in house intercom. What if there is a request? Then I have to come down to receptionist to request and this cause inconvenience. But most importantly, what if there is an emergency? I did ask the staff at the front desk about the telephone, but their answered was so disappointed. The answered I get from the staff "Actually, That room doesn't have telephone". They didn't even try to apologize and try to rectify the issue. Upon entering the room, they didn't even provide any towel. We have to go down and ask for the towel.||If you want to have peaceful sleep, don't stay at this hotel as you can hear people talking from the next door. This hotel does not have sound proof wall.||The only different between standard room and Deluxe room is only that the deluxe room equipped with a window. The size of the room and facilities and amenities are the same.||Upon checked out, they asked me to wait for a while and after few minutes I came back, they claimed that I already check out and already returned the cash deposit to me which I never received it yet. To kill the time waiting, I just go out for 5 minutes for a smoke and when I'm back they told me that I already check out and they already returned the deposit cash (which I haven't receive). So unprofessional!! After confronting with the staff, they finally returned my cash deposit.||The good thing about this Hotel is the location as it is near to LRT station and to Petaling street market.||I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS...
