This museum is one of the smallest but chargeble museum we have visited. Logically can finish within 5 minutes. But if you really slow down and spend time to read, you'll be walking out with better understanding of this Sarawak icon. We are not museum fans, but we kinda enjoy our time spent here. It was so interesting to read about the influence of the Ranee rather than her husband (there is a whole other amazing gallery for that - The Brooke Gallery). The Ranee Museum tastefully and informatively follows her from a young child, through to meeting her husband, their move to Sarawak and then how she became a much loved part of the Sarawakian community. I missed a few details on why she spent only a few years there - the exhibition implicitly made it sound different but some timelines of her life were given as well - and maybe a more nuanced narration besides the almost gushingly positive stance the museum offers.
