Am in my early 50's never travel to TJ all these years because of the stories you hear, corruption, and bribery, among other crimes So I've been going to TJ a lot lately seeking some medical help for some joint pains.. And have to be honest....I look forward going not only because thank God found not a cure but at least some relief for my pains, but because every time its an awesome experience... I dont drive I move around via Hubber.... Crossing isn't a issue ... Girlfriend has SENTRY i dont But using the shuttle service at the border, (10dols) gets me across in like 20 mins..( all legal) She waits for me on this side with the truck, i crossed walking and boom! Read moreIt’s easier if you have seen a doctor and obtain a medical card when coming back to the US. That way you can take the express lane if not be prepared to wait up to 4-5 hrs in traffic. It’s best to park on the US side and walk over, take a taxi or an Uber. Uber is very cheap and safe. When coming back buy your ticket in advance or hop on the bus for $10 US which will cross the border in no time. Don’t fall for those charging $20 or offering you a ride to the San Diego airport or downtown. Plenty of scammers on the Mexico side. Keep your guard up.
