Here is the first instance where I felt reading these other reviews was of not much help, with the exception of the fact that this casino is small. However it is elegantly appointed and staffed to the level of at least one employee (or more) per customer, and all of them friendly and helpful. Although they didn’t all understand English perfectly, they made an effort to make sure we had a great time. I made the mistake of not bringing my full bankroll to gamble here because we ended up coming here every day we were in Cancun. YES, they will take about 10% on the front end when you put funds into your card. YES, they will take a slightly smaller percentage when you cash back out. No, I do not find this to be an issue and I’ll explain why. The slot games hit well... real well. Just about everyone in our group found themselves substantially ahead at one time or another. The second visit I went down quite a bit, almost out, and then ran it back up to triple what I started with. I’ve rarely experienced such runs and I spend a lot of time in casinos (we don’t need to go into exactly how much) but I know high payback machines when I play them. I played these for 3 days and they pay better than any I’ve ever seen... Trust me. Reviewers also don't like that the machines show $ and cents but it is actually pesos. Let me explain: most machines can be played in denominations of 5c (.05 peso) 10c (.1 peso) and 25c (.25 peso) so the minimum bet on most of their slots is 50 lines X .05 pesos or about 12 cents USD. So when people complain about the machine saying they won $1000 but it was only 1000 pesos they were probably only betting a quarter! If you're gonna play slots then you've got to know your math. The drinks are not free and pretty much US prices... fair enough. The slots were mainly variants that I had not seen before of Lightning Link or Bashiba Link type machines. The machines were clean and modern, the property was clean, and no ticket in and ticket out to worry about, everything just stays on your player’s card... easy. Plus they always have at least one or two attendants in the slot area making sure you have no problems. In fact the one female attendant who works during the afternoon made my gaming even more fun, she was always there to cheer me on and wants you to win. Never seen such a thing in a casino. Had...
Read moreGamblers beware!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It's a rainy day in Cancun so my wife and I decided to go to the casino across the street. The Macao casino is small and there were almost no people inside. My wife sat down at a slot machine and started playing. She won small amounts of pesos but we were not paying attention to see if the winnings were being transferred over to the total. She won 1250 credits but the winnings did not appear to be transferred over to the total credit left to play with. She then won 450 credits and we were worried that the 450 credits would not transfer over to the total like the previous winnings did not, so I went to get a supervisor. We showed him the 450 credits and explained what we thought the problem was and told him to watch if the 450 credits transferred to total. My wife pushed the button and the credits did not transfer over, they just disappeared. The supervisor, Daniel Ortega stated that he needed to contact the systems team to alert them of the problem. About 30 minutes later another supervisor, Alan Ortiz came by. Daniel explained the issue, and they said they needed the systems guy to come by. While waiting for everyone, the screen which had 836 pesos total left to play with went blank and then went to zero. Eventually the systems guy came by and pulled up the screen which showed winnings and losses. They spoke in Spanish to each other so we have no idea what was said. After about an hour we we told that my wife's winnings were 153 pesos, but would not even address the 2400 that did not post towards the 836 peso total. Alan then took us up to the cashier and they were only going to pay for the 836 pesos remaining on the card and NOT the 153 pesos of inaccurate winnings. They finally paid the 153 pesos but basically told us there was nothing they could do about the 2400 credits (at a minimum). We told them to check the cameras and again they said there was nothing they could do. They went behind the scene and the machine flicked on and off multiple times. The machine was not closed but ready to rip off the next unsuspecting traveler. No wonder the casino was...
Read morei don’t recommend any tourist to play at Macao Casino because you can NOT win. Even if you did win; you can NOT get your money out of the casino. Here are the issues: must register for player card, ATM excessive fees, overpriced drinks,(no free drinks), underpriced exchange rate, cash out policy, limited credit expiration, roulette tables appear rigged. Owner has no intention to fix these issues.1st, you are required to register for a player card because you need to load up your player card that they made you register. with your hard earned cash. DO NOT use their ATM machines. their service fee is excessive and hidden fee. Although, the machines states transaction fee is 109 Pesos but i was charged USD25,14 for two transactions. The maximum amount you can withdraw is 3000.00 Pesos that s about 150.00USD so you will end up making multiple transactions. Forget about free drinks! I was charged 18.00USD for a beer and a margarita with 10pct tip included. DONT exchange your USD at their cashier because they buy 2 Pesos under current exchange rate. On March 10th 2025, the exchange rate was 20.10 however casino offers only 18.00 Pesos. OUTRAGEOUS cash out policy. If you get a big win from the slot machine, the maximium amount they give you is 200.00USD and the remaining amount stays on your player card as credit. WAIT there is a time limit on your credit. It will expire after a few weeks.Roulette table i played appears rigged. i played 40 Pesos on the same number 9 red for about 10 round then on the 11th round it landed on number 9 then at the last second it bounced to number 22. Many players complained of the similiar issues and everytime the owner responed “we will look into it” but nothing has been changed. By the way, if you win at the table, the tax rate is 7 percent for the state. If you win at the slot machine is 17 percent; 10 for the state and 7 for the house. DONT roll the dice at Macao because you are...
