I am currently in the Grand Oasis Hotel and aready know, that after this review, I will get a response from the hotel about how they thank me for my feedback so they can enforce improvements or something. That is not going to happen. Nothing will improve. I read the other reviews in the last months and everything is still exactly thr same. But lets start at the beginning. Checkin took pretty long. We had a 12 hour flight and it seemed one of us had a booking for another Oasis hotel. We didnt know this fact and the staffs English was pretty bad, so we didnt understand what was going on and why she was sent to some other reception a few meters far away (it wasnt even in a different building so that made it more confusing). The rooms are oldschool to say the least. Our cupboard is broken so we cant use it, the window wont close properly which means we have to regulate the A/C constantly (since Auto mode doesnt seem to work). The furniture itself was modern in the 80s maybe. Most of the TV channels have bad reception. You can have 2 devices for the Wifi for free. If you have more, you have to pay. All in all, I can still live with those problems and I would not have written a review, if those were the only things. My main problem is the staff and the food in the restaurants. While the waiters are usually very friendly and nice, there is always someone to manage the place and put new plates, cuttlery and so on, when another guest leaves. These people are thr slowest I have seen. I waited 20minutes in front of a restaurant (no line in front of me) and there were 2 free tables. Since everything is for free (all inclusive), I quickly had the feeling, they want to limit the amount of people in their restaurants. Yes, you can go to one of the buffet restaurants, but they all offer the same food. If you want A la carte, you need to wait about an hour in front, only to get a reservation for the evening or to get in for lunch. In the restaurants, the waiter take care of you and really come often to refill your glass and so on, but you also often see unmotivated employees Lets talk more about the food. There is an italian style restaurant with a stone oven. I am a huge pizza fan - unfortunately, the Pepperoni Pizza is pretty tasteless. The pepperoni itself doesnt give much and they dont put any Oregano or similar on the pizza. It could use some salt and pepper too (which they dont have... yes.. no salt and pepper.. a standard in any 1-star hotel). There are a few buffet restaurant. Everything tastes like ita from the day before. Sometimes, they run out of something and there is no new stock the next day. Then, there is no fresh juice in any of the restaurants. They all have the same: an orange juice that tastes like Fanta (that was open too long) and pineapple juice (didnt try that one since i dont lile pineapple). There is a restaurant in the middle called Cocoa. I asked for a piece of meat medium and it was still pretty rare. Yesterday, we were going for dinner in one of the restaurants. One of us wanted to get some berrys from a stand that offered also pancakes. She was told she couldnt have them without a pancake.. So she took a pancake and got some berries. While she took them, the person attending that stand looked really mean at her. I thought I will find something I like in one of the 10 or so restaurants, but no.. There is a nice place called Cafe del mar.. Had high hopes until I got my roomtemperature cheesburger and a portion of Taco that tasted like nothing. Even i can do that better (thats what I thought in every restaurant actually). Hygiene is also something uncommon in this hotel. There is a Hotdog/Burger stand. While the person doing the food wears gloves, another person comes to bring new stock aif sausages and just grabs them with the hand. To sum it up: everything takes ages, its an old hotel and management doesnt care (otherwise It wouldnt be the same problems after so many months).

We had an awful experience here. The atrium was very grand as you enter however the rooms were completely different. They were very old and we had many issues. There was mould on the ceiling, the TV was fuzzy. The maintenance of the room was awful, lots of cracks and bad plastering. We had a shower curtain which was not practical and made the room wet. It was very dark in the shower. We had no shower head so the water didn't come out well and was difficult to wash ourselves. The taps were stiff. We complained on the very first day about our shower and nothing was done. We reminded the receptionist who was very rude to us when we complained about why it had not been sorted. It took three days for them to fix the shower and even then they never put a shower head on, and remained that way throughout the whole of our stay. They provide shampoo and body wash. The bed was big and the room was spacious. We had a good view of the swimming pool. They have two swimming pools, both very overcrowded and not many decking chairs available, even on the beach. We had to sit on our towels as there were no sun beds available! The beach is small. The breakfast is pretty much the same everyday which we got bored with after a few days. There is always a big queue for meal times, they should have more seating available to accommodate all the guests. We ended up waiting an hour some days just to eat!!! The buffet is ok, it gets repetitive after a while. We were close to a port where we took a ferry to the isle mejures. I recommend doing this as the island is beautiful and the beach is far better than the resort. We also had a skylift near the hotel where you can see the view of the hotel and beach. I also recommend doing this. The specialty restaurants were ok but there isn't much choice and they were very expensive. We tried the Japanese and mexican fusion restaurant and it was awful! The waiters don't know anything about allergies or intolerances. The food was horrible and the waiter didn't explain the concept of the menu very well. The dishes were small and we were left feeling hungry so ended up eating at the buffet afterwards and felt like we had wasted our money on what was supposed to be a specialty restaurant. Then we tried the fancy restaurant which we paid a lot of money for. It was pretty decent and the theatrics were good. The waiter overdid the liquid nitrogen on the dessert so the cake was rock hard and inedible as it was frozen. I would not recommend this resort at all. It was expensive and not enjoyable. The staff are not nice and the food was mediocre. The resort is too small for the number of guests and it seriously needs to update the rooms as they were old and falling apart.

ZERO STARS- RUN, don’t walk from this place! Summary: - Long lines for all restaurants, enter the coffee shop, lines at 8am to obtain a reservation for the specialty restaurants (not worth eating there, see below), lines at 8am to reserve a daybed at the beach club, lines to get an elevator (two elevator for all 100 something rooms), etc. - Dirty and grimy everywhere, just gross to touch anything outside of our room. Beach is full with trash in the morning and beach chairs and dirty and stained with food remnants (doubtful these have been ever been pressure washed). - It smells bad - stinks! - almost everywhere. Specifically in the staircase that you are forced to use if no elevator shows up. The rooms smell musty and shower drains smell like sewage. - Room windows leak: we had water come in to the room and pool on the floor during rainstorm. This may be the reason for the musty smell. One of our children has mild asthma and her cough has been getting significantly worse. - Restaurants are out of basic items all the time - no bread at breakfast, no fries for kids (tip: the fries were one of the best things to eat). And nobody cares that they are out of things. - Rude staff (simple requests or complaints are just ignored). - Tasteless and cold food on dirty dishes (even at restaurants that cost extra). If dishes are even available… - Everything is watery- drinks, ketchup, coffee, etc. - Rooms in urgent need of renovation or updating, even if surface only (chipped paint, chips in floor tiles, doors peeling). - No blankets in rooms, beds made with just sheets (upon calling for the third time to ask for blankets, we received thin scratchy polyester blankets), most towels have holes. - Noisy until after midnight, beware of the half of the hotel facing the pirate ships. - Dingy hallways without lighting. - Overall complete waste of money, and comparable to the worst motel of your town. We booked this as a family resort that at least our three young children could enjoy (without us worrying about them bothering other vacationers), and did not have any expectations after reading the other reviews. But even no expectations were not met. We are thankfully leaving tomorrow and on one positive note, none of our three children had food poisoning (yet). I tried to take pictures throughout our stay for others to get a true representation of this awful establishment and hopefully a better idea of what they will get.

Wow. Where to begin. Please read because I don’t want a family to endure what my family went through. We went on a family vacation (9 total) and stayed at the Grand Palm. From the second we walked in (no joke) we had a bad feeling about it. When we walked in the main lobby the roof was leaking and about to cave in. I got soaked waiting for check in. We had to wait approx 2 hours for check in because no one was working (we arrived on a Saturday). While we were waiting we were approached by a staff member. He was harassing us to sit through a time share and we said no thank you. That entire week whenever he would see me he wouldn’t stop. There was one day that he cornered us and screamed at us! Once we finally checked in the hotel room was absolutely disgusting. There was black mold all in the shower. The phone had what looked like food on it. The floors were dirty, and it smelled horrible. My daughter went to use the rest room and the toilet got clogged. I called the front desk and they said someone would come up right away, we went to the beach and came back…toilet still clogged. Called again. Same response. It took me screaming like a crazy person to the front desk to get someone to unclog our toilet. The remainder of our vacation it clogged everytime we would flush. We got clean towels one time out of our week stay. We asked and asked. No one came. Went to the front desk and demanded clean towels. She said she had to talk to her manager? The service was as worst as it comes. They looked miserable and were just flat out rude. When we would ask for a drink it was like we were an inconvenience. It got to the point where I would wave 20”s in the air just for a drink. The food….lol. We couldn’t even get into a restaurant at the resort! We had to eat the buffet food which was DISGUSTING! It finally got to the point where we all went to ask to speak to a manager. We vented and he gave us VIP service on the beach for a day. Well that was fine and all except we got no service! A bed on the beach and that’s it. The pool and beach were nice. We really couldn’t enjoy it though because it was so packed and again, no service. The pool bar was closed for about 4 days. I could go on and on but I think this is enough. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this horrible resort.

We stayed here for two weeks over Xmas and NYE upon arrival we were sold an upgrade although we did initially already pay for a master junior suite they then offered us top floor with two separate rooms and a hot tub. We thought perfect who wants to be cramped as a family if 4 in one room for two weeks- this did come at an extra cost of £432! We were instantly disappointed with the shower facilities in our room- 4 days with no running hot water having to keep constantly call down- maintenance are absolutely shocking! Told us to stay in our rooms with the taps running and he would return in 10 minutes! 2.5 hours later I then had to go down to reception to find the maintenance geezer wondering through reception area. We booked for oasis palm but were then put into the sens part of the hotel. But with palm wristbands- which means you don’t have access to other restaurants you have to pay to eat. After shower fiasco 8 days into our two weeks we were then upgraded to sens wristbands- we used one of the restaurants and because we were all inclusive and didn’t order a lobster we were treated horrendously- our waiter didn’t offer drinks or condiments instead decided to hand around on the beach on his mobile! Just be mindful if you do come on NYE You will offered a table Hervin sorted us right out with the best seats in the house- only down side that they don’t make clear enough of the prices we were told $85 only to get to check out to be charged $422 for a small bottle of Smirnoff Small bottle of JD and the cheapest bottle of Champagne! BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE ONES WHO NADE OUR HOLIDAY! Ivan- Customer Service thank you for your continued support and always trying your best to make out stay as good as possible! If you visit this hotel look out for Hervin! HERVIN YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE THANK YOU FOR BEING AMAZING MAKING US LAUGH & FOREVER GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR US! WITHOUT HERVIN OUR BEACH AND POOL DAYS WOULD NOT OF BEEN THE SAME! 💙

Where do I begin to express my disappointment in this hotel? As soon as you arrive, it’s extremely difficult to find the location of the hotel as there is NO outside sign that states “Grand Oasis Palm”. The Google Maps direction leads you to an area of the hotel where you cannot enter and the staff lets you know that you can only arrive by driving in through ‘Sens’, a completely separate hotel beside Grand Oasis Palm. There is no valet parking. The next part was really shocking, when you enter the hotel, there is NO seating area as in chairs or couches where you can wait for your room to be ready at 3:30PM. That’s another thing. The reservation details states that your room will be ready for check in at 3:00PM, but once you arrive, they only let you into your room at exactly 3:30PM, and there is no seating area. The room is extremely old smelling, the bed is uncomfortable but the worst part is the view that they give you after you’ve spent good money to be there. I’ll attach it below. This is a horrible view, there is no view of anything and I had safety concerns that anyone from the other rooms could walk over to your side of the terrace. I think the next part I will mention is the worst of all of it, at night it was time to have dinner, we walk over to the two salons that they have available for buffet, both have the longest lines outside of the restaurants. You would have to wait minimum an hour or two to get inside to eat. This does not work for anybody but imagine if you have smaller kids who are hungry and crying, and your only option is to wait in line while it’s burning hot to get into the buffet. We actually decided to go to another location outside of the hotel to eat because the lines were so long. The entire experience was very bad and I would never ever return to this hotel. The service is not good either. On any floor, you will always be woken up if anyone opens a door or shuts it, literally everything is audible. 0/0.
