We decided to try this place based on reviews. The manager was polite and seemed knowledgeable. He suggested the "Seven Course Breakfast," which we opted for. While the food was interesting and decent, it fell short of being spectacular. Perhaps the glowing reviews had set our expectations unrealistically high. To our surprise, the bill amounted to slightly over USD$100 for the two of us when I checked the converted charge on my credit card. I realized I hadn't paid sufficient attention to the Mexican peso figure on the bill and failed to promptly translate it into dollars. Although I hit the 20% tip button on the card machine, apparently, a 20% tip was already included but never explicitly mentioned. Here's the breakdown: the listed price for the breakfast was 570 Mexican pesos, approximately USD$35. After applying a 20% tipping twice, the total came to USD$50. I am not known to double-tipping at restaurants, nor have I ever encountered a meal deserving an additional tip on top of the included gratuity. Paying 50 US dollars per person for breakfast is the most expensive I've ever had anywhere. Of this breakfast, I may not remember its taste, however, I will certainly not...

This tiny café is amazing. Everything is fresh made. The staff is very helpful and informative… Everything is authentic and tastes wonderful. Highly recommend this for breakfast lunch or dinner. They also offer a 7 course tasting menu for around $30 US. We got Chilla Quiles with chicken red and green sauce - tangy, tasty, lots of delicious Oaxaca cheese and moist chunks of chicken. Chilaquiles with Cochinita Pibil (shredded, seasoned pork that was amazing all by itself) with Mole poblano (smoky, slightly sweet, with a little heat) and the super breakfast burrito - yummy!
Mexican, hot chocolate was good, put Mexican coffee was yummy, the Horchata was delicious, and the Tulum fruit drink (apple, Mango, and ginger) was super fresh and loaded with flavor. Wish we had discovered this place earlier in our...

As a New Yorker, I can admit that I’m pickier with food. On top of that, I can’t handle overly fried or fatty foods. The rest of the group has varied palates. Even so, this place was heavenly for ALL of us. It became the best food our group of four had in Cancun & Tulum combined. My only wish is that the place was bigger.
The service is great. I even took a zoom interview there and they accommodated the noise level. I had, breakfast, brunch and lunch - none of it disappointed!
Edit: My boyfriend just reminded me of how kind the staff here is. Our airb&b told us last minute they would not hold our bags and we were in a pinch. The staff kindly made an exception and held our bags to ensure we could enjoy the last few hours of our...
