El Pececito Cancún — Restaurant in Cancún

We just landed and wanted a drink with some food. Server said kitchen close we said it’s only 6pm. Anyways we order a drink it was okay. They told us they serve breakfast. So 2 days later we said they try there breakfast. We go there around 8:30ish-9am there wasn’t anyone waiting. We place an order they said we don’t have that. Oooookayyy we pick something else from the menu they didn’t have that either. So we said what about this yes we have it. The food came out COLD the only thing warm was the eggs. We ask why it COLD that’s how it’s supposed to be. I said Nope anyways. We try to enjoy the best we could. They didn’t even have straw! The server was on her phone the entire time. Gave us check charges us 100 peso for server. 🤦🏻‍♀️

El Pececito Cancún is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a laid-back, beachfront atmosphere. The seafood is incredibly fresh and flavorful—highly recommend the fish and shrimp tacos! The mixed fajitas were also delicious and perfectly seasoned.

The service was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even better. The ocean view at sunset is breathtaking, and the live music added a fun, lively touch to the ambiance. It can get a bit loud, but it adds to the vibrant energy of the place.

The food was ok. The tacos were good. The view was beautiful. The only issue we had was with the waiter. He gave us the bill and hand wrote the total, adding himself a 22% tip. Which is way over the standard tip for Mexico. We payed with a credit card and the waiter didn’t give us the receipt for the charge. He acted like he didn’t speak English and didn’t understand what we were saying. Idk but very shady and uncalled for. It was a shame because we would’ve gone back but after that, never again.
