Playa chac mool — Attraction in Cancún

10/10 foot feel sand, very fine! This was the only beach I got to visit but I loved walking it.

Blue banner shows the entrance, which at the time had a little chain link barrier for cars, that you just walk over. Love the water, albeit waves can be a bit intense. There are a good 1-3 feet of sand where you can be close enough to sit in without being really slapped by the waves but still feeling them come to greet you.

Upon arriving I had tried to put my stuff in a chair under an umbrella and I was told it would be $300 pesos to use. I opted to just put my stuff on the sand, which nearly got my phone and AirPods wet, so worth considering putting them well above you in you choose to sit...

One of the most beautiful beaches in the region. The water is amazing, and there is plenty of space to find you a spot where you can stay for hours admiring nature, tanning or going for a swim. In some places, the waves might make the place a little too uncomfortable for some small kids, if they are not used to it. We went to the beach via public access in this area. When leaving we only found one area for public shower. However we had great fun enjoying the surf and beautiful white sand. There is plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment immediately...
