This afternoon my husband and I had a wonderful meal at Los Amigos. We started with the Mescalita, a smoky mezcal cocktail that was refreshingly bold. It was one of the best drinks we’ve ever tasted. Paired with their homemade guacamole, which was fresh and packed with flavor, the meal began on a high note.

For the main dish, we shared the Molcajete Frida Kahlo, a generous serving of grilled meats, vegetables, and cheese. The smoky flavor and sizzling presentation made it a standout, perfect for sharing.

We were walking down the street trying to decide where to go for dinner when we walked past Los Amigos Cantina and someone said it was the best food in Cancun...that was enough to convince us to try it! Everything from the food to the staff to the playlist was incredible. Our favourites of the night were the cheese braid, chicken fajitas and birria tacos. Everything was so flavourful and delicious. When I told the staff we wanted to order two desserts because it was my fiancé's birthday, they surprised us by bringing out a candle, singing happy birthday, and covering the cost. The BEST and most authentic mexican food during our 2 week stay! Wish we had found Los Amigos earlier!!! Taste was just simply amazing. Small place, but friendly and heavenly food. Not too big portions, which we liked. For the first time in Mexico this place made us to want to try the dessert: flan was directly from mama’s oven. Recommend the Crispy Pibil as the starter. We saw the regulars and they comfirmed: all the entrees are excellent. We had Pulled pork tacos: excellente!
