My worst stay in Mexico City by far
I came for work to Mexico City, so reliable wifi was fundamental for this stay, but it was super slow and connection often was lost; chairs are old and make a squeaky noise every time you sit on them, noise you could hear in every work call I had; a pair of socks of mine disappeared after the cleaning service; shower shoots water at all directions, missing a direct stream towards you; street noise is severely present; there is only one elevator that is shaky inside and takes ages to come; gym has only 4 machines and 3 are for cardio, no dumbbells, no bars, no discs; oh yes, and the toilet barely had water pressure, so it ended up clogged every morning, on my last days I EVEN AVOIDED USING MY OWN TOILET, and had to go to the business room one. Even with all of these conditions I was enjoying my stay and willing to give a good review because of friendliness from staff and location. However, because of the terrible last night I had there I won’t: Rooms are separated by a thin wall and apparently design-mirrored so my bed was only separated from the neighbor room’s bed by only a thin wall; on this last night, there was a constant pounding on this wall that woke me up in the middle of the night because was super loud, plus some moaning noises and even my bed was shaking (you can imagine what was going on in the neighbor room), so I requested assistance from reception and they told me they’d investigate, it took them half an hour to send someone only to verify the noise in my room and another half hour to go to the neighbor’s room and try and fix the problem, spoiler: they didn’t. After all this sleepless time I had to come down to the reception and ask what the hell was going on; the receptionist just said “oh, yeah, they’re just having fun”, “they’re in the middle of some action”, (yeah, you don’t say, that doesn’t solve anything, so please give me another room at least for tonight because it’s impossible to sleep there); so they said “we only have one room free and it’s also next to the noisy room, but they just checked out and it’d need to be cleaned and that will take long” (Seriously? People checking out in the middle of the night? Is that your best excuse?). Long story short they didn’t care about me as a guest and refused to give me another room to spend the night or any solution, not even an apology. So I had to lay the bedsheets and pillows as far as possible from the bed wall, which was on the kitchen floor (next to the noisy fridge, by the way)… I HAD TO SLEEP ON THE DAMN KITCHEN FLOOR, because staff was unwilling to help, uninterested in my concern or the quiet hours of the night. I never felt more powerless and neglected as a customer before. Was I really begging for you to do a good job after I paid you? Really? Aren’t you ignoring you own policy of quiet hours are after 22:30? Definitely not worth for what it’s paid, won’t come back again… waste of money, waste of quality sleep, waste or time, and waste of socks (what did you do with my socks, by the way?), I would give zero stars if it were...

Had room with kitchenette. The lounge area had a sofa that is so stained and disgusting, it looks like a prop form a crime scene. I can't believe they think this is acceptable.
TVs are ancient and barely function, and the low quality internet doesn't help. There is an extremely awkward mirror in front of the bed behind the TV, so you are staring at yourself when watching the TV. Really weird.
Kitchenette has no equipment unless you get it from the front desk, which we didn't bother to do.
Beds are stiff, with old, very lumpy pillows.
Toilet is mere inches from the wall in front of it. Very odd and uncomfortable. Shower sprays everywhere if you open the door, and drips all around the enclosure because it isn't properly sealed. Toiletries are very low quality.
One card key for multiple guests that operates power, so one person can't leave, or the other has to let them back in.
Got put in room adjoining a large family with 7 people, with constant noise. No noise separation between rooms, so it was extremely loud and unpleasant.
Didn't try food, because the faded printer pictures in the elevator look terrible. I can't believe they think this looks appealing, in such a great area for cafes.
I can see most of the same complaints from years ago with canned responses that improvements are being made, but I can assure you, nothing has been improved. These are the exact problems people have been having for years.
Friendly staff, but not recommended,...
Read moreA little disappointed. Staff was always friendly, but even at first arriving never got a greeting from front desk. The room appears clean, but could use a real deep clean. Walls, window sills base boards. First night I made a list on the single sheet of hotel paper of all that was missing from our room and the fact that the toilet didn’t flush. Our room was missing a coffee maker and it took 3 attempts to finally get one and we still had to ask for coffee each day. Not keurig or similar but drip and packet with sugar, 2 stir sticks and 2 mini napkins. Towels: 2 bath, 1 hand and one wash cloth. No bath mat. It took a lot to get a second wash cloth as there were 2 of us. Complimentary shampoo icky. Container that holds shampoo, conditioner, soap, stained just looks dirty. Room key: given 1 in recycled holder. Must have room key in room to turn on lights. So if one person goes out… it can be a problem. Cafe: looked at the pics. Didn’t eat there. Cleaning staff friendly and helpful. It was a good location for walking and seeing a lot. Good point- my husband became ill the night before we were to check out. Front desk was helpful in keeping our room, showing me laundry facilities on site and making sure we were ok. I appreciated that very much. Overall, not a bad place/ just...
