I was really excited to try this yoga class, especially since it was held outside ! I thought it would be such a refreshing way to start a Saturday morning. The teacher herself was lovely, and I enjoyed the flow she created.
That said, the overall experience wasn’t what I had hoped for, especially considering the price (400 pesos is quite high for this setup and is comparable to prices of high end studios in NYC or London).
The outdoor area was unfortunately very overstimulating. loud Mexican music was heard throughout the class, which made it difficult to actually hear the teacher’s instructions.
On top of that, the class was held right next to a bakery, so there was a constant overpowering smell of sweet pastries and as someone who had just eaten breakfast, that made it even harder to focus or relax. There was also a loud vent or exhaust fan blowing from the bakery, adding more background noise.
Overall, while I appreciated the teaching, the atmosphere made it hard to truly enjoy the practice. For such a high price point, I was expecting a more peaceful and intentional...
Read moreThis was a terrible experience that I hope is not gonna have even worse consequences. The class was completely full and I would guess between 16-20 people plus the teacher in a small unventilated and closed room. People sitting face to face and in some exercises doing deep breathing exercises less than half a meter one face to another. There was no space for the teacher who sometimes would go in the middle of the room to show some positions very briefly. There was not enough space to fully do the positions. In times where Covid and other viruses flourish it's absolutely irresponsible to do classes like this. Today I woke up with a piercing head ache and feeling unwell. If I have been contaminated in this yoga class that will have to be addressed with the company. It's so irresponsible to make money cramming so many people together in such a small unventilated room and shameful that the company is willing to risk people's health for monetary gain. I'm extremely disappointed right now and I will have to take action should I come down with a virus...
Read moreOne of the few Hot Yoga studios in CDMX. I take Sunday VFlow with Lee. LOVE his class. Medium intensity, great flow, energizing music, and great instructor! Class is taught in Spanish, but he will provide occasional English cues if he recognizes someone in the class cannot understand.
The facility is clean, the hot room is pretty small. They also have a restaurant inside that serves smoothies, juices, and some breakfast items.
Secret Room works with FitPass, all levels.
Edit: I do wish they changed their check-in system to have check-in touch screens to make the process more efficient. The line is always long right before classes and is a combination of people that already registered with people that still need to pay for class. It’s made me late a few times to my class, even when getting there 10...
