Okay so for the area this place offers some over average food and average coffee. Price wise it’s steep. My issues with this place is two fold. There service. When entering the coffee shop it’s unlikely you will be greeted by the staff behind the till. I was sat in there for two hours today and I noticed that when people walked in they aren’t greeted. I think it’s polite to greet people when entering your establishment. There is three tables in the whole place and the staff are not the most attentive when people are ready to order.

There card machine often doesn’t work. On the occasions it didn’t work for me the owner said I could pay pal her. The issue is she adds close to a 80% premium on top. Iv left a photo of my receipt for the amount of 190 Mexican peso. The lady said I would need to pay $14 and then changed for $16. If you look the conversation rate up on google it works out to $10.49. And when you challenge her about this her response is well I don’t use that conversation. That’s a stark difference to $16. It just seems a little disingenuous and does leave a sour impression on the whole establishment.

Having said that the food is over average but also over...

Hello, my friends, if you are about to dine here, you have won the lottery. I have been here several times now, and it's always excellent. Great food and drink, great atmosphere, and great service. And all at a fair price, especially considering all of the above. All the drinks are great, but can I suggest the Cocoa organic frappe? Unless you don't want to have your mind blown. In that case, try something else, but I can't promise you won't get the same result.

The food is also top-notch. Fresh, healthy, and yummy. Many things on the menu you can find elsewhere, but I rarely see this on my travels. And maybe it's because I am Canadian, this meal is comfort food from back home. It's named after your wonderful host and owner, Carolin! It is sourdough bread covered in peanut butter, sliced bananas and homemade granola on top. It's the best. It's Carolin Toast!

Come here to get your mind blown. Or, if you are more modest, enjoy a great meal and drink in a nice garden-like atmosphere with great, friendly service. Very vegetarian-friendly, too. Come back for more and...

This may well be the one breakfast to rule them all! Fresh healthy selections both traditional and contemporary. They have a range of different Mexican espresso beans and I highly recommend the espresso trio that showcases the subtle and not-so subtle differences in flavor! On top of that because I am a confirmed Coffey addict. I had their darkest chocolate Mocha with a couple shots of espresso. Para La Comida, I had the green omelette beautifully delivered with a hearty mix of Chaya onion other vegetables and Oaxaca cheese! The “energy ball“ is a delicious bit of hippyness that was a delight! My girlfriend had the vegetarian quesadillas with a side of eggs and it too was perfection. The staff is lovely and the diners were a mix of local and tourist. Always nice to see people from here eating here. I sit here sipping the last bit of my mocha and I’m about to go check out their lovely garden gardens and meet their pet pugs! An absolute must-go when...

Everything here is amazing. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, the employees are super friendly and helpful, and the frappes are fantastic (it does seem odd that they don't contain coffee, but if you ask, they will add a shot of espresso to it). It's really well priced too. With two of us, we each got a meal and a frappe, and sometimes an agua fresca, and for the two of us our bill was right around 500 pesos. There is also a botanical garden next to the patio you can take a short walk through. They use it for composting and growing food for use in the restaurant too. We were in town for 6 days, and we ate breakfast here 5 of them. The only reason we didn't do all 6 days was because they are closed on Mondays. The music is very relaxing as well, with calm covers of popular songs by well known artists like Nirvana, Adele, Queen, and Miley Cyrus, among many others Don't miss out on this fantastic place.
