We walked passed this bar on the first night of our stay in Valladolid and thought it was a tourist trap for sure (silly old school western doors and signs everywhere saying cantina). However, don't be fooled this is a legit (mainly local) bar, super welcoming and very fun environment. Beers are well priced and plentiful, great service. They don't have a food menu (the main reason we went in was to have a look at the food menu prices!) but bring rounds of snacks (free of charge! Would you believe in the Yucatan of all places) to go with your beer of choice. Absolutely a must do while you're here in Valladolid! (as long as you like beer! Don't think they had any alternatives). We went in for one and the misso had to drag me out by the ear after the fourth 😬.

This place is perfect for an afternoon beer or Michelada with friends. We came here three days in a row and will probably be back tomorrow. Great bar environment, you can sit at the bar or at a table, they serve bottled beers at 40 pesos each and michelada at 20 pesos, each time you order you get a complimentary (or 4) small plates of food varying from meats, salads and salsas. This bar is special as it is friendly, the music isn’t too loud, the saloon doors to get in are welcoming and it doesn’t feel seedy like other places. It was a great find!

Such a splendid place! An authentic local cantina full of locals. Even with mariachi! No cheap tourist gimmicks here at all. Go ahead, grab a seat and enjoy some super chilled beers. Keep your empty bottles on the table and count them carefully.. you’ll be offered some tasty tapas based on your generous consumption. And be sure to return the favour when it’s time to settle up. Good propina is polite!

We stayed in Valladolid for about two weeks. We found this place through a friend who lives in Valladolid. In short we went back multiple times and had a blast each time we were there. Jorge an all staff were friendly and the wonderful botanos just kept coming. The beer was ice cold and the vibe was very authentic and touristy like some other places we visited. At the end of our last week we literally stood and wait for the place to open because within 30 minutes each day we were there the place was full. My favorite place to hang out. The owner and the staff were consistently kind and courteous and made us feel to home. Jorge even gave us some sikil pak to take home. We offer to pay for it and he said no and enjoy. Love ...

I cannot recommend anything more! We stopped by as non-Mexicans & at first felt maybe we wouldn’t fit in as this place is a proper ‘locals’ bar here in Valladolid.

However, the bar team immediately welcomed us and made us feel so at home, finding us seats at the busy bar. This place does bottles beers & great traditional margaritas if you ask for them, plus they serve drinks with ‘botanos’ (tapas style dishes of local cuisine) that come with the drinks.

We came 4 days in a row & the team remembered our order every time. If you love the food, they will even serve you a shot glass of the vinaigrette from the dishes if you ask!

Huge shout out to Eduardo, Sergio & Juan đŸ™đŸœ

Thank you for making our honeymoon that bit...
